I love this scientific approach in gathering "fact", about what actually works, rather than myth. Thanks for taking your time in this approach. Now we all know, for certain.

Thanks John. I really like doing these types of videos, but the downside is they take time lol

@@EverythingPlants Yes they do. I/we are happy that you are sometimes in the 'zone' to take that time. 👍🇨🇦💜🌱

I do this with mine as well, heck most of my plants are on heat mats just cause we keep it pretty cool in the house. Once I put my pothos on the heat mat they EXPLODED with so much new growth it was WILD! Also, I tried the bonide rooting hormone with my last pothos water propogations and the roots grew so much faster and so much THICKER. Like the difference is crazy.

That is nice and also expensive! Spring, Summer and Early Fall are still the best time.

You can find some pretty cheap heat mats on Amazon. Just look around and you should be able to find something that works for you

This is awesome, thanks. How often do you change the water where the plants are propagating? Thanks

Only when it gets really murky, otherwise I just top up the water

What to do to stop the slimy stuff from developing and turning rank, when propagating? I have the worst luck end up throwing everything out 😢
@raulmuta5 ай бұрын
Clean cutting material, clean pots, cut at 45 degrees the prop, dip the cut part in cinnamon, helps with the bacteria and slimy stuff, also, water starts going green, change water, algae forming from direct sunlight can quickly kill the newborn roots.

Pothos will grow regardless. Let’s see you propagate a philodendron. 😏
