Indeed just start, get a momentum! Stop procrastinating or coming up with reasons not to do something. Perfectionism can hold you back. So just starting is a good advice!

You have a cool dad, seems like a good man indeed. I am not really wanting to be a content creator, but I don't mind learning about this. You never know.

What a great motivator for anyone starting a business! You have done a great job with your son. He is wonderful.

I've heard so many creators say, "just give it time" "stick it out" "you are one video away from success" and that might be true for some, but I lost hope in that about 300+ videos ago. KZbin is not for everyone, and success is far from guaranteed. Keep up the good work - best of luck.

At least you gave it a good try, which is more than a lot of folks do who dream of it.

Thank you both so much for this podcast! I live in Asheville NC and am in limbo after Hurricane Helene. Thankfully, our family, home and fruit trees were spared, but my husband's work place was destroyed. This podcast is encouraging me to find the blessing in this, and "Just start" a new beginning toward our permaculture orchard. Cheers.

Wonderful! I’ve never heard someone completely regret they just started. Check out Billy Bond’s Perma Pastures channel. He’s in your area and has pertinent local info for your orchard.

I am a huge fan of Perma Pastures! We recently attended his Homesteaders Jamboree. Lots to learn.

That part about getting sidetracked after school is SO RELATABLE. I had teachers laugh at me when I told them I wanted to get into sustainable farming (I didn't know about Permaculture specifically back in 2014) and then I just got a job in the trades right out of highschool. I wish I'd focused more on this stuff 8+ years ago but I've started now and that's the important part

Exactly, I’m sure you will value any trade training for farming, where you need at least a basic understanding of most all the trades.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Been doing it on my own for 2 years now, prepared almost 5 years for Permaculture and 6 years for Natural farming. But this 2 years, grinding it myself as a Permaculturist hands on, that preparation has helped a lot, yet nothing can be compared to the real experience. I get what you are telling, this has helped me more than I could imagine. Much love from Kerala, India. Nikhil Bose Back To Earth Permaculture

I learn best from books, and by doing. When I read the world fades and I'm experiencing what I'm reading, like a movie, and never heard anyone else say they read that way too. Cool!

This is the second video that you have referenced the permaculture book. With so many out there, can you please provide more details on it? I would love to buy it.

i just threw down about a foot and a half of wood chippings in a large area of my backyard, you think this would be good for future trees?
@StefanSobkowiak29 күн бұрын
As a general rule it will be great, even better on somewhat clay soil.

I did the same thing, I put down 30 yards(arborist mulch/chips) 6 years ago. Takes about 4 years for results to start happening. I watch Stefan videos, I visited miracle farms. I loved his concept. Now my micro orchard is so abundant. thanks again Stefan. I couldn't of done it without your guidance.
