I own a golf gte myself. I got a stage 1 tune on it. And it makes 287hp and 492nm of torque. The 1.4tsi is about the same figures as the one in this video. But on the stock gte the electric motor in gte mode is at half its power, around 53hp. Thats why standard it makes 204 on paper. Just because vw didnt want the gte to be faster than the gti. With a remap you can also map the software for the electric motor. Just by doing that its at 100% thus +53hp.

@@Mahalo_83 Stage 1 engine to 187hp, then delete/change the software that stops all of the electric motor's power being used in GTE mode. EV only mode is 100hp, but is throttled back to 53-60hp in GTE mode to (supposedly - VW) save damage to the gearbox.

You're supposed to put the electric engine at 100% instead of 50% on GTE mode, also tune the engine a bit, this way you can get to 280HP 500NM torque, im getting this done saturday at Tuningservice Huizen in the Netherlands

Awesome to hear you liked it! I don't know the ins and outs of the hybrid system on this car, but I believe it depends on the mode you are in + the calculated load which generates the assistance.

Yeah, they are both limited with the ECU software, and more power and torque is possible

I enjoyed the video, buy like a lot of people have said, you want the full power out of the electric motor while the engine is running. Not just the 50% that volkswagen gve you. Can you now unlock the power or not?

Although we do specialise in custom ECU software for some makes and models, on this platform we do not. That is why we use Racingline ECU software on it, so the progress in unchanged, unless they have made some.

Hi, hope you're well. I've just received a GTE advance 2020 mk7.5. I'm thinking of using raceline but have a few questions: Did you inform your insurance? How much more did it cost? My car would still be in warranty, I see raceline have the option of "Return to Stock". Could I remove this if I needed to take it to the dealer for a service/MOT? - How much was the remap? - How long did it take? - Did fuel economy improve from stock? - Did you need to upgrade any parts to help with the remap or would stock parts be ok? - How does this affect the automatic clutch? Keeping the electric motor stock is really not worth it at all. Tune it and you will reach 280-290 hp easily like i did a year ago. Or you go a bit more crazy and slap a bigger turbo on like i’m working with right now to go towards the 4 figure ;-)

however you made a good job?‘c but the engine is a toy. a bmw 330e/550e has a real good potentional for tuning on stage 1. by the way a G30 non facelift full m sport additions will cost you around 34000€ used with not so much kilometers on it and a GTE cost you twice then the BMW and is a cheap toy. audi/vw/mercedes just cheap toys. i hate how it is in the bmw working world, but they have better engines by the way.
