I drove OTR trucking for yrs. I hauled alot of boxed beef, chicken and pork. After the load was delivered and the trailer was empty. I'd have to get a trailer washout. Even after that. The trailer had a funky smell. Especially, in hot summer months. My cure for that was either, cinnamon powder or coffee grounds. After the trailer was washed out. I'd sprinkle some cinnamon powder (1/4cup). Or, a cup of coffee grounds. (Just a cheap can of generic coffee grounds). Then, I'd turn the refrigeratoration unit on to circulate the aroma. Mmmmm! Much better! 😁 Not ALL loads were refrigerated. Sometimes I would haul produce. Or, canned goods. On these loads you want to eliminate the smells of raw meat. You wouldn't do this if you are hauling meat, back to back. No one wants their steaks absorbing coffee or cinnamon aromas, 😂! I'm guessing that you weren't expecting a dude to post a comment. But, there's probably some women out there with husbands/boyfriends who drive truck. This info is old school and works great. The shipping clerk's and dock workers will greatly appreciate your efforts. Have a great weekend and be safe out there.

My tip: take a used small jar (like a dijon glass jar) clean it up or decorate the exterior however u want, and place three or four cotton balls and douse it with an essential oil. The scent lasts quite a long time ...at least a week. Replace the cotton balls and repeat, quick , cheap and easy and be can placed anywhere- like on top of the toilet bowl or on a shelf.

Do you know that vinegar is a odor neutralizer? It's also very inexpensive. I buy a big gallon jug of it at Big Lots probably less than $3. You can mix the vinegar with water 50/50 and if you want to throw in some sent that you like in a spray bottle. Then just spray it on your fabric surfaces. Fabrics tend to be what absorb and hold odors. The vinegar smell will go away rather quickly and I feel you might really like the results! You could always try it in one area and see if you notice a difference! I hope it helps :-)

Great ideas. I bought an antique dresser from an estate sale. It smelled like old people and moth balls inside the drawers. It was pretty strong and bad and cleaning it didn't help. I put Downy Unstoppables in zip lock bags and poked holes. I didn't have cachet bags. I put a baggie of Down Ustoppables in each drawer and left it closed up for about a month. All of the bad smell was gone, and the drawers smelled like Downy Unstoppables - very nice!

Dang, Andrea. You’ve got some real snarky commenters on here! Why people waste their time griping about something that isn’t their cup of tea, I just don’t get it. 🤷‍♀️ You keep doing your thing, Andrea!!! This was a great tip that smart people can adapt to what works best for themselves.

Exactly, I don’t think it is snarky but more out of concern. I think the tip is great but I would try an natural option in my case. My physician has said that Downey etc are seriously bad for your health and triggered a severe health response in both my hubby and I. I used it for decades an loved it. I’m wondering if they have changed their ingredients or if I finally hit my toxic load. Still LOvE the smell but there are other options. I’m excited to try this in lavender though.

Your idea literally took me under 5 mins to do a set of queen sized sheets on a bed that had my tiny dog refusing to move off the top of the rest of the laundry on my bed. So your method works well in tight spaces as well. NOW to the the clothes pin and Unstoppable a. Why can't the beads be crushed while dry then put them in some warm water. I'm sure they would dissolve much better. The only problem with your channel is that it deterred me from finishing my cleaning tonight because I had to watch all your videos. I've got lots more to go. Can't wait to try the shaving cream on the carpet routine. I use resolve at this time. OH --- the pots and pans with easy off and brill pads as well. I love Scent Bomb sprays in clean cotton and baby powder. I pour some on cotton balls and put those in small jars around the house. I also spray the filter to our central heat with pine tree or apple pie type scents in the winter.

Have you tried putting the unstoppable beads in your vacuum bag, every time you run vacuum it leaves your house smelling nice. I am with you Andrea Jean, I like a good smelling house. I do clean my house every week and I do like to open my windows even in the winter to get that crisp fresh air. Also it’s just 2 adults and my 3 year Yorkie.

If you’re not into the clothes pin decor for your car, Dudes, keep that cork from that last hot and spicy night and put her favourite scent on it to remember her by. Ladies, you can do the same, put you favourite scent on it - likely not his, because he probably stinks, but you get the picture. Cut a slit in the cork and wedge it onto your vent. Wanna take that further, pin a picture, or object of choice, or glue a magnet and add whatever you choose.

Before you vacuum, sprinkle a small amount of Downey Crystals on the floor. Not much, Like maybe two or three pinches of them. Make sure your vacuum is empty before you start. Vacuum those up and the vacuum will make every room smell great via the exhaust.

The most natural way for clean fresh fragrance in your home especially during lockdown... before you go out to do your errands open the window in each room we are home let it air out with the cool fresh air.... When you return shut your windows and you will have the most cleanest freshest fragrance of the outdoors not only that it will kill all the germs in your home...
