Yes, I have been watching minimalist vlogs and it is just too extreme, though I can relate to some of it, but you saying "It's not about minimalism, it's about simplicity." really is what I'm looking for. I don't want to have an empty room and walls but I do want to live more simply and enjoy the beautiful things in life. Thanks, Matt!

If you are in cross roads or need sincere advice on the best moves to take now its best you seek an independent advisor who knows about the financial markets. It's better to hire a skilled financial planner especially if you're not one yourself. I hired one, after my retirement pension took a hit in April due to the crash.

It is also important not to hold too tightly onto your plan for the next day - be aware that there may be unavoidable interruptions and dont get too stressed out when things dont work out as planned. But still it is good to plan ahead and work towards it as a habit. I love what you said "20% of my habits are going to lead toward 80% of my health".

How to simplify your life: be rich enough to chill somewhere in the alps in an expensive hotel to think about how to make your life more comfortable👍 when i am on your level of wealth and priviledge i come back to this video👍👍 Could you maybe make video how to get free from the threadmill of 9 to 5? Or how did you establish your simple life?
@MettaTrance13 күн бұрын
I don’t know anything about this fella having been recommended the video by the algorithm but I have to agree I got some of the same feelings. Tell the same story and instructions in a simple room and make it more relatable to everyday people. Cuts to gorgeous Zen mountain cabins, rowing in the most serene water etc.. just isolate the majority of us who, maybe if we’re lucky get to experience these things one every ten years, though some people not at all. Perhaps the sentiment is ‘I did this and look where I am now’… or something along those lines, but for me it just made me feel inferior which is the disease of social media.

I feel you. I had two kids 10 months apart and I didn't really have any help. But I did always find pockets of time to read and I took the kids on a walk instead of plopping them in front of a screen and during nap time, I worked on my writing. Small pockets of time but they kept me from deep diving into depression and melancholy. Matt didn't say it was easy. Change is always hard, especially with other people relying on you. Just be wary of burn out, even if you can't do all this 🥺 often what is good for you is good for other people too. Please take care. You deserve some peace ✌️🩵

You set down on a bench that has 20 pillows on it and live in a house that has a million dollar view and talk about simplification. Your entire surroundings are filled with complexity. Embracing complexity and managing it properly is way more beneficial than stripping everything out of your life. Having things in your life that challenge you creates a feeling of purpose and builds confidence and skills. Avoiding life is depressing.

My biggest challenge is that I can't let go of the fact that I'm interested in several broad topics. Each of these topics that are important to me, each of these alone would be a life-long project. How can I focus on what's important?
@leigh69746 күн бұрын
Just a suggestion from what I've heard some spiritual teachers suggest: do the thing that has the most excitement in the moment. So if you have several options on any given day, feel for which one contains the most excitement and go with it. Follow the excitement as far as it goes and then do the next most exciting thing. It doesn't have to be something huge like a career change, it could be something that seems small or insignificant but may lead you in an unexpected way to what you want or where you want to go. Apparently excitement is a translation of energy from the higher self which has wonderful organising/synchronising potential if you trust it. 😊

Hey brother - You are exactly right. We are born into a modern day system of financial slavery. From birth you’re given a SSN and quickly become a cog in the government tax paying system. From early onset you’re pressured into picking a career and going to college for it. If you don’t know exactly what you want to do by 16, you are told you’re behind your peers. Pressured into student loan debt, which is the only form of debt not forgivable by the government, the chains have just been placed around your wrists. You work 9-6 everyday, exhausted (The work hours are very intentional) and unable to even dream about true financial freedom. You’re spent and you have no energy remaining. We turn to video games, porn, drugs or alcohol, binge eating, or gorging on Netflix. Anything to distract us from the trap we’ve fallen into. They tell us, homeownership will make you happy! Burdened with more debt the chains are around our necks now and there is no way out…. Except, for you to take control of your life and become your own boss. Owning your own business is the only way to make your financial dreams come true, and to free yourself from the “system” or “rat race”. Read Rich Dad Poor Dad, The Millionaire Fast Lane, The Richest Man in Babylon Use what little free time you do have to discover what business you may want to get in to. Learn all you can about marketing, web design, coding, HR operations, systemization, budgeting, etc. You have to build a personal brand for yourself. Your business is a mirror reflection of your life. Being an entrepreneur is much harder than being an employee, and it will be the most transformational experience of your life. You MUST do it, otherwise you are just making someone else’s financial dreams come true!

I appreciate your message and intend to continue checking in on what you have to share because you have great ideas but there are a number of things that seperate you from half your audience perhaps that might make sifficult for everyone to consider trying it themselves but that's cool. I'm just letting you know, that's all. Some of what you shared remined me of this song. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWGvfGVojZV0mdUsi=gH1danREW2nREkS3
