If I remember correctly the neck pickup was the one where everything was installed; smoke and light came out of it. Somehow I recall the neck pickup had some sort of a servo.

I seen them back in Nov of 1980 in Sydney. Ace was right in front of me. His guitar smoked up and he fired a rocket that went up into the rafters and then the confetti started to fall.

Nothing like having a memorable prop from a icon guitarist . One of the first stage gimmicks of Ace Frehley , I saw close up in 1979 at the old CheckerDome . BTW it was 25 years ago the old Dome came down . So this presentation kind of follows the pickup smoke show . How many times can this device be activated or usable ?

Remove one pair of pickups like Ace had done. If I remember right he has a dummy set in the slides out of the way and that way you can get Max lighting for smoke.

Nope they don't place the bridge in the right spot.

Just have to change out the hardware I have 3 of them and they all stay in tune after hardware change

@@Vinnyd1970 I have one and I did change the hardware and electronics. You can't completely get rid of the fret buzz without it being unplayable. A bridge raised too high to eliminate the buzz means it won't stay intonated/in tune. Fret leveling won't work, because of where the bridge is located on the guitar.

@@Vinnyd1970 I take the 3 you have was from the same builder? Musoland would put the bridge in the right spot, but it was not playable out of the box, but you can set it up yourself and have it both intonated and no fret buzz.

Ace had to have that whole guitar redesigned for smoke because that hot smoking pickup did horrible things to the rest of the guitar
