I made butter for years when I had a cow. Use a large shallow bowl to "wash" the butter. Drain the whey off then spread the butter on the bowl bottom. Now salt it very heavily to clean out the last of the bitter whey. Now work your butter in cold water until there is just a hint of salt left. The salt is a tool in the process

My local grocery store sells heavy cream for about a dollar when it's close to its expiration date and they have to make room for a new shipment. You made life so much harder for yourself by using the whisk attachment that long. Once it starts to clump you should clear out the balloon whisk and swap to the paddle attachment to finish the last section. It's way better at finishing the process as well as squeezing the the liquid out.

Pretty sure butter existed before electricity. So you can always just beat it by hand or shake it in a jar and make butter the same way. But if you have a machine, use that. A £15 electric hand-whisk will work just as well as a £300 standing mixer. Don't pretend butter is gate-kept behind some sort of barrier of wealth, when really it's because you can't figure out how to adapt the recipe!

Don't forget to return the child to its parent. Step 6 (optional): run from police. They don't tend to understand how butter is made
