How To Make your own Christmas Ornaments! EASY Step by Step

Welcome back to my channel for another easy tutorial! This is a step by step of how to make and paint your own beautiful Christmas ornaments on a budget 😊
Supplies:
Paint- acrylic
White
Black
Lemon yellow
Neon red
Blue turquoise
Standard size Smooth foam balls
Paint brushes:
Small liner or round
Mini filbert
Larger filbert
Mini mop brush
Ribbon (I’m using 1 inch white organza)
Scissors
Hooks
Any glossy Varnish or Sealer
Glitter - I’m using a fine iridescent glitter
Clear hot Glue or silicone

Hi Jeana, I’ve found with these super smooth foam balls it’s not necessary! They take the paint beautifully but applying a sealer of some kind at the end is a must to protect them😉

They are standard size, 4 cm in diameter I believe. A little smaller or bigger work well too though 👍

Do you prefer not prepping ball before painting. does it really matter? probably either way is ok?Thanks

I’ve applied gesso before sometimes and haven’t noticed a difference in the finished product afterwards. Sealing the ball is a must however 😉

You can paint this on any surface! for glass or plastic I recommend an enamel, oil or outdoor paint otherwise it will flake off. Be sure to seal as well

These are so adorable 💟. I can't seem to find these smooth balls at our stores. I wanted to paint some last year and only found the "wrong" type of styrofoam balls. When I ordered on line, they came all damaged and dented with flatness from shipping. And I'm not sure what size "standard" is..2 inch, 3 inch 4 inch?

I get mine from dollar tree and dollar stores, they do sell out fast though.. Michaels has them as well but they’re way more money there. 😊
