Finally a true artist at work! I love that you show the messy bottles and not brand new perfectly clean work surfaces which are not realistic. Even the headache and frustrations of plugged up squirt bottles

suggestion....find a big box, turn over so sealed bottom is right side up. poke holes every 4 -5" apart, put in a chopstick in each one, remove the cap of each bulb, as you paint the bulbs replace it - hole down- on to the chop stick. the paint will drip towards the hole and down the stick....no mess, let dry thoroughly. just scrape the hole area clear of any excess paint and replace the cap. ready for selling. do not use mod podge to seal it. mod podge will become sticky over time and you'll end up throwing it out.....not sure why there are lines through my blurb. please read though the lines to make better sense. I also use to put thumb tacks into a tight triangle through a cardboard sheet or box. turn the sheet over and place bulbs or easter eggs onto the points. drip on paint, let dry and voila. minimal marks.

I've thought about using some adhesive spray and glitter on the inside of the ornament that is complementary to the paint colors. That way, if I have spots that the paint didn't reach it still looks finished.
@ACoastalMagnolia3 ай бұрын
That is a brilliant idea! I'll have to give that a try!

Thank you, Ms. Magnolia! An idea for next time? What if you used a spray adhesive on the inside and then tossed in some beach sand and shook it around to coat the interior. Then, empty spaces in your pour would have a sandy background. Just a thought.

Can I suggest you get some styrofoam and skewers . Stick skewer in foam and then put ornaments in skewer to let paint drip off hands free

Yes, I’ve tried that, but I don’t always want to pour from the bottom. With the nail jig, I can support the ornaments any way I wish!

Yes, but you are really limited with the paint design. My nail board allows me to set the ornaments sideways, top side up, anyway really. I still get full coverage.

Hi Edwige, I live in Fl too. Where do you have your shows? I have learned a lot from your videos and would love to join a group of crafters in Palm Beach Co. Do you have any suggestions on where to find recycled pieces of wood. Thanks!
@ACoastalMagnolia Жыл бұрын
I am in Brevard County and stay local for my shows, like Cocoa, Vero and Melbourne. There is a great Facebook group called Central Florida Markets and Craft Shows Vendor Group that has a lot of show resources. The BEST place for recycled wood is pallets! And also keep an eye out for fence boards when your neighbors replace theirs.
