Interesting!!! But does it work and up to what depth in front of a 40 cm wall? I would like to superimpose (obviously making the minimum isolations ......) 5\6 disks to have 6X amplification. Do you also use an amplifier? What working voltage did you choose? Thank you very much.

lining the piezo with a styrofoam packing peanut also works great. no glue needed.

There were no impedance issues? Or maybe you connected the mono to a nice amplifier?

Does glue make a good phonic insulation ? Excuse for my bad english and thanks for the answer !
@TomMcRand12 жыл бұрын
thanks. i have always wondered how to do that. can you do the thing where you switch the wires on a transistor radio so it becomes a guitar amp?

I have an official stethoscope that an ERl doctor gave to me I wanted to make something like this that would be able to easily hear through walls. This will work with no mods , but I want to amplify the audio and then convert the analog to digital signal so it can be saved. Would a standard contact mic be able to do the same , I'd rather not butcher this Stethoscope if I do not have to .

wait... electricty can travel through the glue? because you didnt even connect the cables to the other specific cables, so it also finds its way?

How about make diy preamp and connect to piezo..that might be fair..
@a546355 жыл бұрын
a preamp for a piezo is not a good idea because a piezo is very very high volume already. it produces its own electricity see wikipedia

Please, it doesn't seem to work for me. I put the piezo buzzer and the stereo cable (I know you said mono but the end I am using is mono even though the cable is stereo) and it doesn't seem to work!! No sound other than noise (the same I get if the piezo buzzer is not in contact with the stereo cable)

Connect the Left and Right wires (red and green usually) to the positive side of the mic.

I'm dealing with a hum when I touch it
@MrSinoline9 жыл бұрын
Looking piezo element within the oscilloscope shows that you have a positive pulse from the red wire when you tap.it. This indicates that the wiring is reversed, no wonder you have hum when you touch it. Connect the red wire to the center lead to the shielded wire at the mic. and black to the shield. This connects the outside of the diaphram of the microphone to ground so you should have no more problems when touching it :-)
