It's funny, i thought of doing this i don't know how many years ago but then never actually did it. Too many ideas and projects. These are the days to do these kind of things. Thanks

Another option is to use armored aircraft hoses. You can bend them most any which way without compromising strength or flow, and they look cool too. I also needed a fuel filler hose for an old Jeep Cherokee that went from the filler assembly to the tank, and I couldn't find one until I went to the local Aircraft Fixed Base Operator, who had the size I needed in bulk. It wasn't armored, but it was rated for Avgas, and solved the problem. It came with supporting ridges for bending up to 160 degrees without collapsing, but my application was a straight shot, so that was overkill. Most any aircraft hydraulic shop can put the fittings on for you while you wait, if you need that as well. Not cheap, but it cost less than the driving around I did looking for a solution. You can also use your spring solution on the outside of the hose, and get the same effect without compromising flow.

Awesome Tip!!! Going to try doing something similar to my shop vac hose. It folds up right at the canister

Nice job. However you could have gotten 2 45 degree push lock fittings and a straight piece of hose. Reduces the stress on the hose and maximizes the flow since it's only gravity pulling the oil. Even though there is no kink, the outside of a bend is stressed and will cause a premature failure which in not preferable on the oil system.

If I could have done that, the two 45's I had would have worked lol

The only thing about heater hose is the way it is designed to carry water based liquids, not oil or gas.

What size are the threads? I'll see if I got a 90° fitting layin around. If I do I'll ship it to ya, or we can meet up next time you head out east..... Warren or wherever you go to pick n pull. In fact, next time you come out this way, there's a nice yard in Taylor 75 n telegraph. Twofer

@@brucebarnes8039Even if it was coolant, that is one of the purposes of anti-freeze. It inhibits corrosion. If your anti-freeze is brown, it needs to be flushed.
