Just for the record, using this method is fine for one-off gaff cards, or a few cards for a packet effect you have invented, but I don't think I'd use this method for mass production!!!!! Enjoy!

If you have a laser printer you can print directly on the air cushion finish (put the settings on print on glossy paper). Tried it myself, works great. And laserprinters are quite cheap nowadays (and also save you a lot of money on ink so that they are cheaper in the long run). And the cards keep their handling properties completely

Thank you for this idea. I've never tried a laser, only inkjet that used to smudge. I'll give your suggestion a try. Thanks really appreciated.

I second this, laser printer works really well, doesn't need to spend time drying out. The only downside is for colored cards you need a color laser printer which is not as cheap, but you can probably get it done from most printing services.

Dude. What a blessing you are to lovers of the art of Magic and Performing Magic. I never refer myself to myself as a magician because I perform Magic, just as I never refer to myself as a comedian because I tell jokes. I'm just a guy who loves to entertain people, whatever form that takes. Some people don't like magic because they feel that if they are fooled by an effect, then they appear foolish and humiliated. I, personally, love being perplexed and Mind boggled bye a magic effect. Isn't that what magic is all about after all? So if I want to learn an effect and how is it performed in a tutorial, it's simply so I can provide that entertainment and joy of magic I received to others. Thank you, again so much.

hey! Great tutorial... I wanted to ask if you use any specific kind of adhesive vinyl to ensure the cards slide decently... or maybe they won't slide well enough to do, say, an Ascanio spread?
@totallymagic4 жыл бұрын
Just use gloss clear, the finish isn't as good as genuine Bicycle cards, but after you mess with them for a while they get better. Most moves should be possible.

@@totallymagic I think I am possibly using the same you are: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004BF8X2W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I was a bit hesitant to mess with them as even after 24 hours I find the ink is not fully dry. I might try reprinting with less ink!
@totallymagic4 жыл бұрын
@@donatocapitella That doesn't seem right, when I print using my Canon inkjet, the ink is dry within 10 mins!!!!! As well as using the clear paper the same as you, I did buy some CLEAR VINYL sheets from eBay, so it may be those I used, but 24 hours and still not dry sounds like something is wrong???? Let me know how you get on.

There's no brand like you're using here in our country. I found one but there's 3 variation to choose, transparent, glossy and matte. What is the correct one? Can u give some other brand to choose. Thanks!

Can the cards be bent three card monte style without the sticker coming off?
@totallymagic4 жыл бұрын
The cards can be bent without the sticker ever coming off.Once on it stays on, Im still using cards I created over a year ago and they still perform great. In fact the more they cards are used, the better they handle.

The paint from the film is quickly erased. Better to print on a clean card and cover with film. I print on photo paper, cover with film, split the card, glue it to this card.

I think the idea is that you can make cards you can't buy, or print a few rather than buy a whole pack, also saves on P&P. P.
