How does this not have more views. This is like my third time watching it because I’m planning on making one in two weeks but I’m having trouble finding 3/8 abs sheets

Great ideas with the mount points. I made the mistake of mounting my splitter to my front lip so I had to take off the splitter everytime I remove the front bumper. I will come up with some kind of quick releases for the brackets do the splitter is somewhat easy to remove. Good job

I was thinking something like this. Have to do some measurements to see which thickness I want to buy. But this is general concept www.amazon.com/Release-Bimini-Stainless-Marine-Accessories/dp/B07G6DCCSQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?keywords=quick+release+pin&qid=1583416232&sr=8-6

haha thats a great question.. I actually haven't had it on the car recently, so not currently an issue. But was considering cutting a hole to make for easier access..not quite sure yet

Dope bro Did you use existing holes in the frame for the brackets? I haven’t taken my bumper off to look because I’m trying to do it all at once

Hey that looks like the Menards HDPE Plastic. Have you been pretty happy with it overall? How has it held up now? How does it do at highway speed? did you end up having to add front supports?
@brodiecd70934 жыл бұрын
It's held up well! I don't currently have it on the car, but it had no issues at highway speed. Also never added the supports

Thanks man! I just purchased it from a local industrial plastic store. Just googled abs plastic and found someone who sold sheets of it. And the metal brackets was from a local metal shop!

Hey what's up. Quick question. How did you attach the fender liners? Usually they attach to the bumper but did you just drill them to the splitter instead of the bumper?
@brodiecd70935 жыл бұрын
I actually just zip tied them to a part of the splitter! Kept them out of the way
@hectorvarela_5 жыл бұрын
@@brodiecd7093 oh alright thanks for replying. Glad to see I can still use my fender liners when I make a splitter

how did you figure out what height to mount it at
@brodiecd70932 жыл бұрын
If I recall correctly. We had the splitter mocked in place. So we could figure out how long the supports needed to be. That way the splitter sat just below bumper
