Thanks for the GB studio 3 tutorials. I used 2 triggers to swap some palettes in a level, but now realize that i can use 1 big trigger and use 'leave' to swap it back. Thanks!

This video is old. Just wanna say: have a look at how to change background tiles in GBVM. Once you get the hang of it i's a real game changer, like animated tiles! You can bypass (or more likely optimize) gb limitations. Cheers!

Definitely, anyone reading this who doesn't know how to switch background tiles needs to learn! I used it a lot in Take It Racing 2, it allowed me to do otherwise impossible things

How do you change brush size to the one your using and import the colors 😭 your tutorials are so good but nobody has one on setting up gimp
@RobertDoman Жыл бұрын
I use the pencil tool so there is no transparency on the edges. Try and find the tool setting window or something similar

@@RobertDoman ok, I just figured out the colors and couldn’t be more thankful as you replied so quickly!! I found the pencil tools but boy I’m gonna have to learn a lot… gotta start somewhere I guess. I’ll be watching a lot of your video on repeat for the next couple months lmao

How to make this transparent layer???? I open gimp, and i can't do nothing ...
@RobertDoman2 жыл бұрын
Make sure you have the layers window open by going up to windows and then dockable diablogues, then Layers Then you can create a new transparent layer

I got stuck on the adding a terrain part in Tiled, all I can add is new corner, new edge, or new mixed set.
@RobertDoman2 жыл бұрын
When looking at the tileset file open in Tiled, there is a map icon that brings up the terrain window, if you press the plus it creates a new terrain, you can then paint the blue onto the tileset to have it know which pieces to use Then when you go back to your maps, you can select the terrain and paint down with the rules the blue selection chose Let me know if that helps, if not, I recommend you find a tutorial specifically for Tiled Good luck!

@@jafara.m7200 I recommend looking for other tutorials in Tiled, it doesn't have to be GB Studio related, I'm hoping I have given you the basics

You could use paint or Photoshop, it's not about the name of the program, it's about editing pixels I recommend picking a software and sticking with it, it won't take long to learn the basics, and that's all you really need
