Normally my game has no lag when playing on max settings but I recently created a custom world in CAW that is huge and was experiencing lag for the first time in forever. I thought I was going to have to sacrifice my graphics settings but you saved the day. I did a bunch of the tricks you recommended and let me tell you, Smooth Patch made a huge difference. Now my large world is flying and I can play with all my graphics set to max.

Did you follow the steps exactly as mentioned in the video? If you did & it lags more, it might have something to do with your card not being updated, or with your card not being compatible enough with the game

I tried to start the game via the TS3PatchLauncher, but the game won't start as there is a notification saying I must install Origin in order to play the game. I bought the game via Origin though :( Also, I left the launcher in the bin folder and did everything accordingly to your video

I tried it with the GPU add on as well, and now with your tip, it still shows me found and matched 0. I have a GTX 1660 Ti. I tried with "*GTX 1660 Ti*" just to make sure, AND "*GTX 16?? Ti*"... nothing works... I dont know why it does not recognize the letters after the numbers...

Every time I save the files it creates a new one and renames the current one with "old". Not only that, but after doing everything step by step, it still shows found:0, matched:1. I don't get it. EDIT: launching the game and exiting twice in a row fixed it, not it shows 1 and 1 in both places. Thank you for your video!

I’m not sure! You might have an integrated card which means you have to skip this part. I would recommend to look at the gpu add-on a modder made. You can find the link in the pinned comment

completely normal, the newer the system the more you need to limit your game. My Game is the smoothest with Screen Refresh Rate limited to 30fps in the Game (no need to play around inside your GPU Control Panel) ofc you still need the fixes of: matching your hardware, memories limited, smooth patch and nraas. Also nice Tool would be the Regul Safegame Cleaner (backup your safes, in case it breaks) and ofc deleting your cache files after each play. hope that helps!

I decided to boot up the sims 3 to make sure i didnt break it and it loaded wayy faster than normal and has zero lag? Click right on the the sims 3 directory folder, security (I believe. I have different language), edit (as she did with featured folder) and give yourself full access over that folder

You may need a frame rate limiter if you have a Nvidia card. My Sims will run at 500fps without a frame rate limiter... That will absolutely ruin a graphics card. Causes stuttering and lagging

Try to 'save as' to your desktop. if it changes to .txt make sure that you change the name of it to .sgr (make sure you have the text extensions on in your document. you can find this in your files folder at 'view'.) then rename the file on your desktop to .sgr and then put it in your bin folder.

Funny enough, how newer your pc, the worse it’ll run. Hence why you need these fixes. Matching ur gpu to your game does WONDERS. The game is old & therefore doesn’t recognize newer videocards. That’s why matching yours to the game manually is SO important for the game’s performance

I highly recommend still using the add-on because i'm not entirely sure. Though, I believe just "Vega 8" should work in the graphics rules files. Please make a backup of the file first though, so that if anything goes wrong, you can replace the broken file

I can only advice you to check everything again, everything that you’ve written down in the files. Or start completely over if you have the back up files

There is a program out there that matched it for you. You just have to install it and you don’t have to go into those files and change it. The program will do it for you. I couldn’t do the matching and it did it for me. It’s hard for us, I also have the RTX

That’s probably an Direct X problem! There are guides on the internet for that. Just look up “sims 3 launcher won’t launch” & they will help you. After your game works, you can apply these fixes :)

I only know that there’s a mac specific version on origin. Besides that, I recommend using the nraas mods I mentioned in my video. Try not to use too much eps at once & save regularly

Usually intel cards already are recognized by the game! So you can skip the step

@@Fall1N1_Ali you need to look at how the rest of the cards are listed for intel in graphicsrules. Then you can match yours to those. I dont know how they are listed & dont have access to my pc rn to help

Yeah, I just installed the game for some nostalgia and I used AMD to see what my FPS was at..... 2158 FPS..... So yea, the limiting FPS thing is needed XD

Hi, I'm desperately trying to get the Smooth Patch to work and I hope you can help me. The patch is installed and the game loads faster but when I click on the map of the city, that makes a big zoom and I barely see the houses. When I try to change the angle of the camera, the game is extremely slow. Also, my household has litteraly $0 and my sims look really weird. I tried to fix the game with the EA app and to play without my CCs but it doesn't change anything. Please help :(

I have a question about the name in graphic rules. In deviceconfig this name is shown: Name (driver): AMD Radeon(TM) Vega 8 Graphics and i added in graphiccards.sgr under ati : card 0x15d8 "AMD Radeon Vega 8 Graphics" more specific info about my graphiccard AMD Ryzen 5 3500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.10 GHz so my question is...what do i have to type in the graphicrules? I don't have 2 or 3 digits in the name

I believe the AMD Ryzen 5 is your cpu, not your gpu (graphics card). Pretty sure that cpu is rated a 5 (uber). Concerning your driver, take a look at the gpu add-on that automatically writes you gpu code. The link is in a pinned comment. Hope this helps!

I think so yes. But if you want to be sure, use the gpu add-on module that a modder made. It auto generates the gpu line that you need. The link is in the pinned comment.

I assume you have started your game before? If not, try that and see if it spawns. If that doesn't work, are you sure you're in the right destination and the game is installed there?

use the one for 3gb. try not to go too high (for example 4gb), that can seriously mess up your game

@@florablooming that's too bad. did you link your graphics card correctly? otherwise it might just still be an issue with the quality of your pc. if you have a low-end pc, that would explain the lag. if you have a high-end pc, then it's really odd that the fix didn't work for you. there might be some pieces of cc that are broken which will cause your game to lag
