I don't have much texture. I used to "fuss" over my hair, clumping this, plopping that, and now I just damp brush it (after towel), quickly scrunch a couple stylers in. Done. My hair is not ever getting curlier, no matter what I do. Yes, day 1 may be slightly nicer, but day 2, 3, 4, rest of the week? Nope. It's gonna all fall flat.

your hair is so gorgeous…..it’s like what every girl who gets a perm hopes their hair turns out to be 😂😂😂😂 great video! i find a mousse + gel combo w no plopping, air dried (if at home and a couple hours before bed) works super good for me for getting clumps that are frizz free…this is my lazy approach lol. also crucial for getting volume on crown : turning hair upside down and putting three small hair clips grabbing a half handful from either side in a line down and then throwing that in a bonnet - the cast is scrunched out while sleeping and i just fluff and go without refreshing (eg products or water etc). i have thick hair, never dyed so i’m guessing low porosity, and 3a i think

Beautiful hair ! I have high porosity fine hair that I color with red. I have reddish brown hair and used to use burgundy but tried red on a fluke and it’s the best for me. First, if you want to try a good cleanser, Palmer's Natural Fusion Micellar Rosewater Cleanser Shampoo. It's non-drying, takes just a little bit against the scalp, and smells heavenly! After I use it, I feel like my hair is drifting from the scalp, which now has a chance to breath...LOL! Thx for this video because I've considered the curls you have to be stringy. I've hated that mine pretty much look like this so now I can feel comfortable with what I have. Does that make sense? I thought I was supposed to have something else. Whew!

You can absolutely section your hair to style! the underneath of my Hair is slightly curlier so I usually opt to skip focusing on it so my hair will be more even all over . Where as if I focus on that hair a lot it’ll be curlier than my hair on top !

I bought the styling crème and the gel. I don’t really understand why a cream and a gel are both needed. I think I can do without the crème. I’ll use both, but I don’t understand why. The pulsing method is really good. Listening for that moisture in the hair is really important.

Hi India, Just wondering when you brush you hair in the shower do you loose a lot of it, I am loosing so much hair in the shower now it's scary is this normal for curly hair

A lot of us natural curlies/wavies experience what at least LOOKS like massive shedding/hair loss when washing & brushing our hair. The reality is most people, regardless of hair type, shed around 50-100 hairs per day. But people with straight hair tend to wash & brush their hair much more frequently than we do, and washing & brushing hair helps remove the shed hairs. Those of us with curly/wavy hair typically don’t remove any of those shed hairs caught up in our poofy, tangly manes until wash day finally arrives (being we haven’t even brushed it since the last wash day.) So on wash day wavies/curlies end up removing many days worth of shed hairs all at once vs the smaller but more frequent amounts that those with straight hair do. That being said, of course it’s possible you are losing even more hair than what is considered normal. I would say unless you’re washing & brushing your hair as frequently as you were before & then suddenly noticed an increase in the amount of hair in your brush & drain, or you’ve noticed your hair is less dense than before, then you have nothing to worry about!

I think sadly, they discontinued it 😭😭😭 There is a scalp scrub from not your mothers!! that’s very good. Also super affordable!! But it does not double as a shampoo. So you would use that scalp scrub for us and then shampoo after (: it’s from the Curl talk line, you can probably find it at Ulta
