I just emailed VIPKiD to ask about video length. They do recommend videos to be 10-15 secs but they will accept videos up to 60secs as long as they don’t exceed 100MB :)

Hi Michael. This is a great video and super motivating for me to redo mine! Haha! Anyway, you said play to your strengths in the video like if you play a musical instrument, etc. I do play piano, but I doubt I would ever use it. So my other interests include quilting (avid, though beginner, quilter here!) and reading and playing with my daughters. How would you incorporate that, if at all? I do have an ABC quilt hanging in my classroom but that's it.
@MichaelVenn6 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks for your comment. Even if you wouldn’t use it in the classroom using your piano in the video might be helpful - SO many students also play piano so it could be a good way to relate. If not, I think showing off your quilt and simply saying “I made this!” Might be enough. Good luck!!

WOW this is an awesome informative wicked helpful video. I love the lighting, the simplicity, clear speaking, and starting out with saying "My name is..." while pointing to a sign with your name and then saying "I am from...." and I could hold up a flag of America, great ideas. I definitely don't have the video editing camera or skills or know anyone, do you know who can do this for me, where can I go to find it? Also where is the notification button? You say you don't have a Bachelor's but I thought with vipkid that was a requirement? Where can I find out how much money you make with VipKid versus 51Talk? Also, any ideas anyone have on working with Spanish-speaking kids or adults? Thanks!!!

Hi Michael, What do teachers do regarding the rights to use music in the background of their video? Even free music I have found still requires the author be cited. Is there a place under the video we can reference the music on the VIPKID page?

I’m not sure. If you’re worried about it I would just use music from the KZbin audio library or find music that doesn’t require attribution.

Hello Michael! I am having an with resolution. If my video is 15 seconds or less Ultra 4K works. Any second more I have to lower it to 1080p HD. then the playback on vip is grainy and not as clear. I would like to make my video 20-22 seconds to do some editing adding parts of my class. Any recommendation on videoing or editing so I get a clear intro video? I feel mine is greatly lacking.
