Great advice. I’m married to a woman who should have been an archaeologist because she is so good at bringing up the past. I’ve changed for the better and have restored my core values. But I can’t change her. Happiness and being comfortable in your own skin is directly proportional to acceptance of others. You can’t control what others think

Digging up the past, several years ago I was on a keto kick and preached nutrition stuff which apparently made her feel fat, and a day ago when she said she is ready for papers, and brought up that as a reason I told her I havnt taked shout nutrition in a couple years and she said yes but the damage is done.

I am at the point where I am existing on the "I don't give 2 sh*ts any longer" island. She either engages, or she won't - I am past the point of catering to prove anything after almost 23 years. Still trying to maintain the best version of me - but no longer feeding into her isolation, rejection game. Asked me to come over and pseudo-cuddle (my term for me cuddling against her while she plays on her phone and keeps covers, dogs or pillows between us) - I simply said no thank you. 30 minutes later, she scooted over and cuddled on me for a change. Still maintains her distance and avoidance, but DONE with all the bullsh*t.

My wife does the same thing with our dog. She will be two feet away from me on the bed snuggling and hugging the dog while ignoring me. It's so demoralizing and painful. She honestly has no idea how much it hurts me....

@@postalmarky I think it's because there is no emotional risk in the affection given to a pet - she is in complete control at all times, same for the kids - affection isn't shut down because there is a veil of control and she isn't exposed to intimate vulnerability .

Hi Liz, I am so happy that I listened to you today because my wife and I are divorced, but I find myself loving her as if the first day we met. Our divorce is very expensive and we have cultivated 6 division one athlete's we used to be a very close nit family and we worked very well as a team. The things you said about your husband was me to a T. Thank you for your testimony.

Me and my Fiancé are separated at the moment. The most emotional time of my life. We still interact from time to time, but it feels that she has her mind made up. She still shows me some minimal affection. She's my best friend and i really wanting her back. I am going to make a permanent change for myself, our kids and her. I won't stop fighting for her.

As I've said before, Josh is spot on... but who wants to play all these games to get a woman or in my case win her back. I don't want to play games. By the way, I used to be a dating coach in college too ah hahaha.. but I told my son's that those games only work with unhealthy girls. Women who know their worth, don't play games.

God is the one power who can change a heart more than us men. I pray for you all to either recover your relationship and or get that self improvement in. Godbless you all and keep your head up, we are nothing without him.

Maybe Objects in motion stay in motion You can't expect her to do a 180 after two weeks after years in the relationship. It is for sure a test, but also you need some more patience brother Stay on the course and trust the process

Yeah. I saw a comment about a wife being an archeologist and i totally agree. My future ex wife is the same insane pit of past things, an expert of hold a grudge. Even things from 10 years ago. With archives like pictures and notes. Why??? Grudge makes you sick, mind and body. Can someone could explain why women act like a creep archaeologist?

Two things I’d mention with this video- 1. With Liz, yes she’s mentioning the changes she saw in him but i know with women it’s about perception and how she feels about him. For my ex , she saw the man she left me for as incredibly romantic even though this man beat the crap out of her and hit on other women, including her two sisters. 2. For the idea of testing and mentioning the sledgehammer, I’ve seen that for years, but not as far as testing to make sure it’s strong and real. They push on it and it stands. They hit it with the sledgehammer to be sure. But they don’t stop there. Then they bring out the jackhammer, then the bulldozer, then the wrecking ball. If that wall is still standing, then comes the explosives. So women will bring down the entire house and destroy everything around it, not to see if the wall is strong enough to keep standing. They want to see what it will take to bring it down and they will do that even if they have to destroy everything in the process. This is why so many of us don’t bother fighting. She will get her way in the end, it’s a question of how much we want her anger focused on us for getting in her way.
