I have lived in the UK for 20 years, I went to uni in the UK and my accent has never changed even after those years. I don’t believe that my accent can change if I came hear when I was over 18 years of age. Your comment has really shocked me. I don’t know how to fake my accent. You are the first person to say I have an accent. I am actually shocked. Most people say I speak like a Muganda, which I agree as I lived in Uganda for 7 years.
