A trick to smooth the wrinkles a little more: turn your iron on high heat and iron the surface of your ironing board, then just rub your bag over the heated ironing board to “iron” it.

I wondered about the copyright thing if I sold them at a craft fair. Hint: Before turning the bag I blew my hair dryer into my bag for about 5 seconds to soften the vinyl which made turning it was very easy. Thanks again for the video.

Lovely idea. Especially when the one comment said something about making them from photocopies of grandkids artwork, etc. That would be so fun to have. 1 question, as I am not a "sewer" and just dabble now and then (your things often are just perfect for "dabbling". LOL) - you show sewing over and then trimming the one side on the zipper, but as you are right-side-outting the bag I can see the other end is still sticking past the bag edge. Do you do anything with that side? I'm unclear on that part. Thanks so much, love your videos.

Having it stick out makes it easy to open. but you can just make it the size you need
@kcquilting20067 жыл бұрын
When you ironed on the first layer of vinyl the edges were quite a bit over the actual candy bag. Does that part stick to the ironing board?? Should we use a press cloth or something to put underneath it? You didn't make any mention of this part of the process...

Wouldn't you want to clip the corners before you turned it right side out, to get a sharper corner?
@Ronibearable7 жыл бұрын
Personally, I'd round them vs. sharpen. But I think the reason she did not clip them and poke them out to get them sharper is because you could poke a hole in it. Which is why I would round them.
@SewVeryEasy7 жыл бұрын
It would be a good idea to round the edges, it will keep in stronger in the corners. I don't think the corners would ever be very sharp.
@RyanBMoore7 жыл бұрын
could you also just make the stitching itself round at the corner?
@SewVeryEasy7 жыл бұрын
Yes and you can make the seam allowance a bit smaller. Try a sample corner before you begin and you will see how to make the shape:)

I’m going to round off my bottom corners. You can put one type of candy bag on one side and another type on the other side, I.e. skidded in one side and MnM’s on the other. Since I don’t eat candy, I’ll have to wait until Halloween and save the wrapping from the candy I give out. Ha ha.
