This video shows you how to make a zippered box pouch with no raw edges. This is similar to my original box pouch video, but this one does NOT have exposed seams. I love both of these and they are both great for beginner sewers because they are free sewing patterns and are considered confident beginner easy sewing projects. Check out the other box bag pattern sizes at the blog post.

My jaw literally dropped open when you gave the tip about moving the needle to the left to line up with the 3/8" mark. Absolutely brilliant. Love how the bag turned out, and also thank you for having both the video & the link to your blog with the written instructions. Hopefully with the two combined I'll be able to actually make this :-) EDIT - Oh, no I just read that Melanie passed away about a year ago. Such a shame - she was so young. Grateful that her videos are still available (and yes, I made the pouch 🙂).

Melanie,I’m Sory to have waited so long to come back here.I couldn’t bare to look at you, without crying. I don’t know why it hit me so hard. I loved you from the beginning of the first video I watched, and learned how to make a baby blanket. It really was so easy to make. So, I made two of them for my great grandchildren two boys. I was so proud to have made them, because you showed me how easy it was to make the stitch. I miss you dearly. Such a wonderful woman you were. You had everything going for you, you’re personality, beautiful lady. Inside and out. There was something very special about you. You’re talent exceed’s mine, and I’m old. I haven’t crochet since you left us to be with GOD. Hoping you’re pain has sufficed. It’s true that GOD only takes the good one’s first. HE needed an angel and dear that was you. I wish you peace., and I miss you. I hope this is ok to write this, if it even made any sense. I apologize in advance. I hope that you’re children and you’re husband are doing better these days. Thank you Mr. Ham for getting me to look back . Please take care.😢🥰🤗 Xox.

I hopped over to comment, and was stunned and saddened to learn of Melanie’s passing. The comments speak to her personality and success as a teacher. I made your box pouch in previous years, but I like this one much better. I always had trouble with the corners. I learned many new ideas from previous pouches I made. I love your items.

I can't wait to make this. I'm a newbie and zippers are scary for me. Thank you for showing some of the challenges I might face while making this so I won't be surprised or frustrated if things go wrong (it probably will).

I've made these from other KZbin tutorials, but none of those have had the precision and attention to detail yours has. I really don't need any more of these pouches in the house, but now I have to have at least one perfect one, using all your tricks.

Such a brilliant tutorial thank you. I made my first using tester fabric just in case it didn’t go to plan, but I should have gone straight for my intended fabric as it’s finished and perfect! Wonderfully clear instructions.
