Carl - I just rewatched this video as I was having problems with linking to notes in MacOS too. Finally figured out that the problem only seems to occur when the link is in a table. If the link is outside of the table, it seems to work OK. I've raised the bug with Apple.

Great video and content as always! Another (possibly quicker way) to send a Note to the Reminders app is by selecting the three dots in the upper right corner, then selecting "send a copy", which will then allow you to choose Reminders. When you do that, it will open a small window where you can edit the title of the reminders as well as add a date, time, tags, folder, etc. It still provides a direct link to the note. With this method you don't have to open the Reminders app and then drag and drop.

For some reason i don’t have the “apple remainders” option 🤔 any ideas? I noticed these this same thing in some other occasions too that apple remainders is not an option

@@Mestari1211 Interesting. It seems Apple has removed that option for some reason. I checked on my iPhone and iPad, and that option is no longer available. I know it was there because I used it several times. It was a great option, not sure why Apple would remove it. EDIT: It's still available as an option on Monterey.

Thanks Carl, another useful video. I'm finally going to bring all my productivity apps back within Apple ecosystem to utilise the new iOS and Monterey features. Apple still have a few annoying missing features for my liking, like easily linking reminders into calendar but the last few years they have really stepped up their game and the apps are much improved.

Yes, Apple's tools are not perfect by any means, but then, I haven't found any app to be "perfect". There are always compromises.

Hi Charles, Once I have the link, I can edit it on Mac OS by copying it and then adding the text I want to use, highlighting the text then press "Command + K" and paste.

You will need to share the note and in the "More" scroll down to the "copy Link". From there you can paste the link into Reminders.

Loving this series. But on the link crash bug on Catalina, I doubt Apple will fix it there as that OS is now 2 versions out of date (Big Sur and now Monterey), so if it doesn’t affect anything else then might be worth you upgrading?

Hi Matt, apologies, I made a mistake. I meant to say Monterey. When I was testing Monterey Beta, I noticed the bug then. I had expected Apple to fix it, but they didn't. As of Monterey V12.1 the bug is still there.

Hi Gabriella, Apple Notes is my hobby note-taking app. Evernote is my main note-taking tool so I manage my projects in Evernote.

Impressive. I need to know how to use my notes. They are usually a mess! One thing, Carl: You need a key light. You are back lit and you will look a lot better with a light from the front but a little to the side. Experiment and check it live on a screen.

You can by getting the note link from the share menu. However, there seems to be a system bug that causes it to crash on macOS Monterey. Hopefully that will be fixed soon.

The only way to get a share note link on mac seems to be inviting another people to collaborate the note but I wan to keep my note private. Am I using it the wrong way?

@@jcyh You can use the share sheet on your Mac. It does copy the text into the notes part of Reminders, but you also get a link directly to the note itself.

For sub-folders, drag the folder you want to be a sub-folder to the right slightly. That should create the sub-folder.

The Apple universe seems to be particularly good at productivity apps. There are some interesting apps that are not available on the PC. Do you use yourself Apple Notes or Evernote?

Evernote is my main notes app. That said, Apple Notes is certainly a contender if Evernote ever disappeared or went in a direction that didn't meet my needs.

Carl... I noticed that in your Master Project List you had nice links to your other Notes pages. How did you do that on your iPad? Anytime I try to add a link to another note... I get the long "" version and not the nice, clean "click here" version. How did you embed a link into that text?

Hi Sean, I did that on my Mac. I usually clean things up when I do a weekly planning session and on my Mac, I can copy the URL link and use Command + K to paste the link to a word or phrase.

@@Carl_Pullein Yes, the problem is on macOS which is my main device. 1. In Monterey, the process is wonky and won't allow for creating a hyperlinked word or phrase as in your video therefore, have to copy and paste the full link; 2. It worked initially but the next day, it crashed when clicking on it.
