Thank you for watching our video. And I’m grateful to hear that in the midst of a carefree awning chaotic moment, lol that you will have the tools and confidence to get back on the road trouble free.

Thank you so much for the video. We have an EKKO too and love the how to do video a lot. I would love to see you do a video on how you lower the spare tire on the EKKO and the tools and method you use.

Thanks, for making another helpful video! As I think I noted in a previous video of yours related to the Worriful err, “Carefree” awning, the awning on our ‘23 EKKO hasn’t worked one time during our RV travels. The last time we tried to use it, it wouldn’t even extend at all. (I could hear it trying to, but I didn’t continue its actuation to force it to operate. Instead, for a second or two, I retracted it to ensure it was fully inside the housing.) The most scary thing is that a few minutes later it popped out a few inches on its own! Thankfully, we were parked and standing next to the EKKO so we noticed it. Image what could have happened if we were driving down the road! I now wrap a long strip of velcro around the front of the awning before we drive to prevent extension. I have an appointment next week at the Winne dealer, with the Worriful awning being one of the items on the EKKO warranty repair list. Sorry, for the downer post, but I’ve heard of these awnings extending during travel from other RV owners. One of them being just last weekend from a former 2022 EKKO owner. And I don’t know if it was a Worriful awning or not, but I have a vivid memory of a Class A coach on the side of Highway 74 in Arizona that suffered from an awning retracting and getting mangled by the wind. (Coincidentally, Highway 74 is called the Carefree Highway, LOL.)

I love your Channel! My wife and I have a Leisure Travel Van based on the 2021 Ford Transit AWD. We have a Carefree awning so your video was very timely. I would love to see you demonstrate how to drive down very steep mountains the correct way in the Transit (using the transmission modes verses always breaking). I think this is something all RVers can relate to.

That is a great idea. Thank you so much for the suggestion I would agree 100% that we all can learn from this. Also, thank you for the kind words and compliment, it really means a lot to Michelle and I. Besides hitting the road and finding adventures and just loving life the best we can a big part of our community has really become our KZbin subscribers, like yourself.

That would be helpful for an Ekko newbie like me. I am used to towing our travel trailer with a diesel F-250 with engine breaking that the Transit does not have.@@ekkonesters599

Thanks for the tip-bit Jason! Awesome video and a keeper. I didn't know about this work-around

You’re very welcome Henry. It was simple enough to put a short video together in hopes that it can help someone out in the future.

Love the channel. In a previous video you mentioned doing a video of the tools that you carry. I may have missed it but would love to know what’s in the tool box that are must have while traveling.

Did you get to play with the awning on the Sprekko
@ekkonesters5999 ай бұрын
Yes, it worked the same and is the same unit as the Transit EKKO.

Mine lost power, not a Care Free and it turned out to be corrosion on the fuse.

Can the reverse be done to extend the awning?
@ekkonesters5992 ай бұрын
@@JohnAdams100-y6m I have not attempted this, but I’m going to say yes. It may require a little soft pull along the way to lessen the load in the arms.
