Many musicians still releases their album as CD. And even vinyl. For musicians, making physical medium of their album is great way to sell their music. Fans can have their favorite artists music as physical form so they can collect the art. Hope this explained your confusion. And yeah, I hope we were back in 90s. I really miss that era.
