Great video. Will be painting first house, what’s best paint to use, water base or oil base for home exterior? Or does it matter. Also how cold can it be outside for the paint to stick because I will also do mine during the winter. Thanks again.

Acrylics finish coats for sure, if you have cedar on your house, prime with an oil primer. I prefer California paints Troubleshooter oil primer

Thanks. Question for you. I just masked my wall and the tape keeps falling off. Are there temperature, or other issues I should account for when taping. I was using the blue Scotch brand painters tape.

How about masking the gutters? Reason I ask is I'm thinking of spraying the last side of my house which has rigid asbestos siding & using a wicker like color. I don't want to get any paint on the brown aluminum facia & brown gutters.

Also this house is about 12' from another house that I cannot touch to mask off because the guy is an asshole & not an option.

Just mask them the same way, instead of the soffits just mask the gutters. Use a 414 file (fine finish low pressure) when you spray to avoid a massive amount of paint coming out.

Do o you mask the siding and spray the corners and downspouts later or you brush that?

Not on new construction. We normally paint before the soffits are up and the gutters and down spouts come from the factory to match the trim.

Usually brush and roll trim. But, sometimes if we have big soffits, we will use plastic to mask the walls.

@Geekmasterproduction You will end up getting some on there if you try that, regardless of how careful you are. I've tried on numerous occasions, but always end up having to go back and scrub the overspray off.

@@MMPRECISIONPAINTING Yep learned that today lol. I lowered the pressure and used a .415 tip instead of a .515. Also the wind was drastically down today. Their was overspray but not as much. I kept a wet rag and scrubbed off the minor overspray immediately.

@@MMPRECISIONPAINTING Another question. On the overspray that I did not wipe off from Saturday, is their a product that can help remove it ? If I scratch and rub enough, it comes off but its uncomfortable due to the fact that I am high up on the ladder. Wish I cleaned it up on the spot.
