I'm working on journals for a craft fair at one of the senior centers this Dec I have 16 in progress getting ready to sew in the signatures. The first journal I saw used all temples that the crafter was selling. It was to uniform for me, but was beautifulI, so I kept looking for something that fit me and my style. That's when I saw my first junk journal. It was perfect for me. Thats when i fell in love with all things junk journal. Took me a while to be comfortable with sewing in the signatures. That was winter of 2018/2019. Wow how time Flys !!

There's a comedian that does a bit about living with a crafter...not allowed to throw anything away. It's hilarious...and SO true. 🤣

I spent the day journaling and then fussy cutting many things today. Plus I did the 30 minute challenge, although I only had a 1" circle. They turned out nice as far as I'm concerned and then make 2 envelopes using napkins to cover them and washi tape. I had been sewing sundresses for my youngest granddaughter. Just needed a break.

These tags and pockets are lovely. I also make templates. The whole junk journal process reminds me of the quilt making process. You use a pattern/template. You make blocks/tags assembly line style. You iron/burnish as you go. You applique/decorate as needed. I love it all! 💗 It tickles my fancy!😄 TFS🤗

I mentioned previously how I miss rain and storms. A background sound of rain would be amazing! I enjoy all your videos, but that would be icing on an already delicious cake. I asked your daughter to give you a hug from me for referring me to her channel. Creativity must be in your DNA; you certainly passed it on.

Oooh, just learned something else about pockets. I have been folding mine on 3 sides but then gluing the bottom flap down to the pocket itself and then to the cardstock. This is why some of my tags do not slide all the way in. Duh. I will start using tape.

Enjoyed watching. Thanks for sharing tag and pocket tips. Where I live, they are working on the light rail and construction is right down the street from my house. My street is so busy and noisy some days. It's been rather cold in the mornings. The sun comes out but it's not to warm yet. We're all doing good..

I love the hint about making tag templates that are ready to go. My projects take so long because I am creating pockets and tags for them as I go, choosing coordinating papers and backings, and of course, having to measure to fit, and even then I goof up where the tag won't slide completely in, etc. I also think I will decide what size 98 percent of my cards will be. Like 5.5 x 6" since I like substantial cards for more room for embellies. Knowing what size my card will usually be will make it easier to create those templates you suggest. Thanks!

Such beautiful notebooks. The tags are going to be beautiful. I’ve been saving my backing card stock for tags. I’m almost out of my Bearly Art glue, which I love. I hope it’s back in stock soon.
