Swapping from horizon to Crypto...had me alittle nervous, these tips are helpful. S12 with be my first time actually doing ranked so I figured I should try another legend. My gut says to go for Crypto, plus he's getting buffed so best time to jump in imo.

Crypto is highly effective in higher ranks, imo, since the team's more aware of how to engage fights. Unlike lower ranks or pubs where you run-and-gun most of the time. I like crypto, next to wattson. He's cool. Edit: i often use tip #5 when i run-and-gun pubs. It's where i know there's enemies in the area.

My toxic trait is thinking I should be ranked higher when I already knew all these things. But seriously people play crypto. Legit nobody know about the banner ping. A gold players tips: Avoid parking your drone. That cool down is the longest tactical in the game, you do not want to lose your drone early in fights. Find safe hidden spots. You don't have to be in drone to use emp. You can be apart of your teams push outside of your already set up drone. Set up drone, exit drone, push, emp has 35m radius so, look at distance from drone, emp, clean up. Run mobile respawn beacon. If a teammate is finished off you will want to have access to bring them back on there deathbox, bringing them into the fight faster. Crypto's drone can use respawn beacons, open vault doors, and use survey beacons INSTANTLY. Don't waste time. Crypto's drone at the very least is a great distraction. The sound alone always makes me think I will get emp'd. People will often stop looking at chokes to deal with your drone. Communicate that. Enable a push on a distracted enemy. Take tip 6 a step further. Enter while sliding. Don't disengage for so long that you don't participate in a fight. Find a cover hit that slide and hit that tactical. Find a good spot for your drone and exit once you hear the first bullet fly. Drone will often become a low priority when people are getting shot at and downed. Keep it going. There is always more

I love the harder to master legends like Crypto, and my friends think of me as a Crypto/Rampart main. Anyway I don't mind the change in the drone deploy, but it is taking some getting used to because I had developed a certain technique where I would sprint towards a fight with my team and go into drone on the fly, fly in and EMP, then back out of the drone and attack. This new change is quite different from that approach.

Tip #7: hide ur drone in trees or use sunlight to make it difficult to notice while the opps are fighting Tip #8: use ur drone as security camera when u enter a tunnel or something so u will know if someone is behind u and could possibly third party u. Tip #9: use the drone only for short commands don’t sit in your drone and look for opps too long just use it for quick stuff. Tip #10: use s4 battle pass blue hair skin that’s the best one for crypto. 😍

Using drone as secruity camera is bad though, cause if someone comes from behind they'll shoot your drone and you won't be able to EMP them
