Seriously great video! Most concise and relevant explanation of intervals and how to navigate them on guitar. Well done!!

I studied at a fine arts high school and i gotta say that your videos and explanations are much more understandable and memorable than the education i received at school. I discovered your channel with the loathe analysis video. Brilliant content, I'd like to see more

Is that scale a particular scale/mode? I mean the opeth riff scale
@andrewboothmusic5 ай бұрын
It is a scale/mode but it doesn’t have a name to my knowledge. The scales and modes that do have names are the ones that are commonly used, primarily the modes of major and melodic minor. You could think of this scale as a mix of locrian and melodic minor. 1 b2 b3 4 b5 b6 of locrian and 1 b3 4 6 7 of melodic minor smashed together

@@andrewboothmusic well you are an excellent guitar player my friend. I also got a music degree and studied composition. I am just getting back into guitar and found your ideas very intriguing and I hope to bring some of my studies into metal and hardcore as well. Keep up the great work!
