I would love a video about how to help instill this kind of mindfulness and healthy eating in our kids. I have a little guy and I want to provide him with a solid foundation.

Yes!!! Loved these tips! Would love to hear more of these tips during your What I Eat in a Day videos. It would also be awesome to see some examples where you have a more indulgent meal and how to eat intuitively rather than overeating because it’s a “treat”. ☺️

I find that hunger/satiety queues work when we are eating real foods. I feel like if I’m eating potato chips, I will never feel full. Also, if we eat a standard American diet with lots of carbs & sugars, we have a lot of cravings for those types of “foods”.

yes, exactly!!! It's an actual thing, when you eat "foods" like that, your brain gets the message that it's not getting nutrients so it's asking you for more - which then leads to you eating the whole bag of chips.

i agree 100 percent! - its hard to master mindful eating in our modern food environment - especially if overweight already - i see an obesity doctor and he says if you are overweight - intuitive eating only works if you completely give up processed foods.

Do you recommend waiting until you are hungry to eat? Or to have regular meals regardless? It is so rare that I feel actual hunger anymore. I get into habits and they stick and they aren’t necessarily healthy. I can’t stop eating sweets once I start.
