Welcome to the OpenToonz family 🙂 It's true, OpenToonz can crash. It depends which parts of the program you're working on. I know lots of users that never have a crash. I rarely do, but it happens. Save often! And if you create a new project for each scene, you'll find your drawings on disk a lot easier if you do have to recreate your animation. One final thing, if you haven't done so already, try out the paint bucket for filling. I saw you manually painting the colour on your character. This is not only slow, but if you use the Toonz Raster level, OpenToonz will know the difference between a line and a file, which is VERY useful. Good luck buddy. Dude, I'm prob very unlucky, like my first time using opentoons it crashed in like 15 minutes of me using it lol, it wasn't realy a problem tho (animate users know what i mean), it realy doesn't crash very often i was just unlucky

I think it's best not to do everything within the program due to his not being too stable like maybe do the backgrounds on some other Paint program.

A small suggestion is the audio balancing. At some point, the audio was only in one ear. Otherwise, keep working on it. You got this!

What exactly was the issue/error you received? I'm sure you researched plenty about it if you reached the conclusion of not being able to recover the work. I ask mainly because I like to help troubleshoot issues like this with illustration and animation software. If it's recreateble or codable, you can try to narrow down the causes. Maybe, it's hardware issues (compatibility), maybe, it's something that can be fixed via scripting as it's an open-source program if I'm not mistaken.

maybe little suggestion (from french rap artist) maybe a bit attention on the audio, for the mic maybe put an eq for high frequencies too loud, but this is a small thing, thank you !

Whenever I use the brush tool on vector layers in Opentoonz, it depletes the line and instead fills in a horizontal line going outward from the center or fills a quarter of the canvas with black. Any idea what is causing this?

Hello.. I am not sure how to help you, my tablet was recognize without any issues, I have a Huion Kamvas Pro 13, I tried looking up your problem but I wasn’t able to find an answer. Maybe try updating your tablets software and hopefully that helps! What device do you use? If it doesn’t work let me know maybe we can keep researching the problem to solve it :)
