I thought it would be advantageous to be able to throw on both sides, because sometimes some manoeuvres make you and your opponent end up in positions when it's more convenient throwing on a different side

What are your thoughts on a "grappling dummy " ? And if I can drill myself to have practical skills alone?

I think they have limited application for technique development, but if you get a heavy enough one they could be good for conditioning. Like for a reverse lift drill or something like that.

Grappling dummy is inferior to an actual training partner, but better than nothing. I think 140lb is too heavy. You need a weight that allows you to get a decent number of reps in with good technique. (disclaimer: this is all my personal opinion.)

@@juandenz2008 your not wrong, I figured 140lb would be a great way to make me strong. But it is alot for me. I'm only 155 my damn self. I'll have some video of me traing in it soon. Check out some of my other uploads my friend.
