I swear to god, somebody should do this for Premiere and After-Effects. Just 30 Days of general principles. Amazing series, PHLEARN!

well, you get the same tools in all platforms, so you just need to try it out... -Or you could look up Andrew Kramer, Film Riot (to name a few) as they go through this process in their VFX tutorials... -And there are a lot of color grading tutorials out there, that go through shot matching, also matching footage from different cameras...

Very good & helpful for this photoshop novice! I have issues with color recognition, but Aaron’s method helps the best! I actually can make a believable composite this way!! Thank you Aaron

Great tutorial. Specially retaining little extra at the feet along with shadow from the original image and then cloning was something unique and fantastic. I do a lot of compositing and used struggle in creating natural looking shadows. Thanks a ton for this tip.

Hi, will you make another video of how you will add jewelry on a model and how to match the light & color? I haven't seen a lot of tutorials like that. I love the way you teach. Very interesting.. Thanks Aaron!

Excellent! another trick i like to use is to do a really gently gradient of shadow, pulling some color from the tree to create the shadow color (if it makes sense for the subject to be in shadow at all).

At 7:40, you added something to the layer of the subject but didn't explain how. When i add a layer it clips above her. what kind of layer did you add to be in the subjects same layer? thanks

It's layer mask and while working on a layer mask make sure you have selected the white small screen and then bring up your brush tool with colour black then begin to brush mask.

Why would the person need to match the desert color? They are a person and not a bunch of sand. They're not supposed to be the same color or brightness.
@mistrzjuliusz93724 жыл бұрын
blending is good, but for some reason it still looks off, why?
@nito_ds4 жыл бұрын
I think it's due to two reasons. First of all, you know the person has been edited into the photo. So you know it's not real. Someone who hasn't seen the photo before might not immediatly notice that it isn't real. And secondly, light and shadow are super important. When the direection of your light source of the subject edited into the photo don't exactly match the ones of the original photo, then it always looks off. So basically if you want to add something into your picture, it's always better/easier to add something that has got the light source coming from a similar direction. You can try and mimic this of course (making parts darker/lighter on your subject), but the results might not be so great. I hope this helps :)
@aux_anges Жыл бұрын
Because he didn't match the perspective. The subject and the landscape are photographed from different angles so she looks like she's hovering. Another issue is the shadow. The tree casts one, the subject doesn't.
@StellaMariaGiulia4 жыл бұрын
She casts no shadow, though. Easy fix
