It's important to note that you keep the queen at a knight's distance from the opponent's king. Then you just copy every move the king does(eg. the king moves up, you also move your queen up one square) and eventually you'll trap him in a single file.

Yes, this tip is so much easier to remember than “shrink the enclosure”. You get your queen at a knight’s distance, then copy the king’s moves until the king’s in that 2 square box, then checkmate.

Basically, Check the king like you would with a knight, (L shape) except instead of a knight its a queen, then just keep doing it until kings forced to move a rank. Until the back rank where you move your king to mate.

you can also use the queen moving with knight distance and to stop that when opp. king reaches corner square. Bring the king into play and checkmate. it's easier to follow.

You can do this with a rook too, another queen checkmate would be to get your queen a horse move away from ur opponents king and copy his moves till he’s in a corner then bring ur king, careful not to stalemate though

@@Sir_Infiden yes you can. On 1st of feb I was 700 and I thought: damn in the last 3 weeks my rating went down, I will never even get to 1000. On valentine's day i hit 1000😂 I could not believe it. I dropped to 920 but it took just a few days to get to 1000 again, going from 1000 to 1100 was the easiest as I had 15 wins in a row. If you play rapid everyday you will get better faster.good luck bro, avoid bullet for now it really makes you lazy

the easiest way is to use the knight opposition method. place your queen in a square that, if it was a knight, would've been a check. now, your queen and opponent's king should be separated in an L shape (just like how a knight moves) once you've done that, simply copy ANY move your opponent's king makes EXCEPT the last move. make sure to leave TWO squares for the opponent's king to move to prevent stalemate. Lastly, simply march your king and deliver checkmate ;)

Can't you just move you queen into a knight attacking position then mirror the opponent king's move to make it smaller but at the back rank you need to give the king 2 spaces so it wouldn't be stalemate.
