I agree Simeon! While I've had a few plugin favorites that I've enjoyed using in OBS in the past, there's always been a few Waves plugins I've always wanted to use. Especially those I've used in post, like the C1 gate and Vocal Rider, as well as some of the other good vocal plugins. I'm going to like being able to do this moving forward!

Holy sh** this is a complete game changer for recording vocals, I've just spent the last 2 days smashing my head against the desk routing cables through external devices to try and get proper live real time plugins to work... then this turns up! And it doesn't work in Xsplit which is absolutely not even in the least bit surprising, so I guess I'm using OBS now! Great work, this is flippin fantastic!!

Hi - Just want to post this to hopefully save people some frustration. I wasn't able to find the Studio Rack plugin within OBS Studio. I launched Waves Central and found that there was an update for Studio Rack which creates a special Waves OBS Studio Rack dll file in the C:\Program Files\VST directory. After running the update, it showed up in OBS Studio with no issues. I'll definitely be making use of this new capability. Thanks!

Updated.. Upgraded to Studioracks v14 but realised I had not activated the v14 licence yet. That fixed it. Working a treat now.

Would you recommend getting the plugins you mentioned in the video against using Silk Vocal live? I justy got a Shure sm7db and I have always wanted that podcast like super flat super clear sound.

I have the opposite scenario most of you have. I stream motorsports (Sprint cars, Motorcycles, goKarts, utv's etc) and it sounds pretty crappy. The pa mics I've been able to fix with Clarity, Playlist Rider and WLM Loudness Meter. Any thoughts on what I can use to make the cars sound better. If I could get it half as good as Ford v Ferrari, I'd be super happy. LOL Big issue is I'm a one man band so a fix it and forget it is needed. I know I'll probably have to make presets for each of the type of races.

The latency added in StudioRack depends on the plugins you use. You can see the latency of your chain by pressing the + icon near the inserts and scrolling down to the bottom. Regarding NDI audio, that depends on several factors which we have no control over. I just tried Clarity Vx against the NS1 and wow!!! I'm blown away by Clarity Vx. i used the same settings in this video and it completely eliminated the fan noise while NS1 couldn't . USE CLARITY VX 🤣🤣

Hi there, Wirecast Pro is not officially supported with our plugins, as stated here: www.waves.com/support/tech-specs/supported-hosts It doesn't necessarily mean it won't work but it means that it was never tested nor qualified to run on this host. You can still give it a shot and try it for yourself, StudioRack is free and you can give it a shot :)

Hey thanks you for your human AI 😉really interesting content. Can you do a video to push the limits with wave audio and with audio generalities in twitch studio and OBS ? And how to use an ASIO audio interface (like a steinberg soundcard) in OBS and twitch studio for instance ? because I would like to use line and microphone inputs inside of OBS and twitch in the same time… But I prefer to be in 44,1 kHz in Ableton, OBS because many samples I use for my drums particulary are 16 bits / 44,1 kHz and I don’t want to have a dither and an audio that not fit with what I ear in monitoring. The option virtual camera in twitch and/or ObS is really good to stream with both video and audio in the same time. But I would like to stream on facebook and KZbin in the same time with just OBS : do you think it is possible ? Happy that we can go further and faster and almost with a better than AI technology (it could be interessting but not to compose I guess for my part). Clarity’s interface looks really good but is it good for recording with a microphone input (to have less noise…) ? Noise is also charm but all things has it own limits! Yes there is many questions and ideas in my text. Greetings from France. Paul

It's processing even when it's not physically open. As long as the insert point in OBS is turned on that's good enough.

I resolved this issue by transferring my licenses (apparently you can only use purchased Waves plugins on a single device at a time…and can only transfer once per year?!). Kind of stupid that it doesn’t tell you this in studio rack

This sounds like you have ventured into StudioVerse, and have plugins in there loading that you don't own. There's no reason for the audio mutes, unless you installed a subscription trial. And that's not necessary unless you WANT to subscribe. You'll get plenty of good from StudioRack and just any purchased plugins you've got, be it only one from Waves, and any other VST3's you've got or multiple Waves and the other VST3s from other companies you own and have installed.
