This is my first time commenting on a KZbin Video, and I just want to say that the clock method is absolutely brilliant, and so are you!

Oh! That clock face method is a great idea! never heard of it... thank you for teaching this trick! By the way, I love the sounds from the street that enter the videos :) they add to the sensations of real life and somehow bring closer the information :)) I don't know how to explain.. it's like everything becomes more true for me :))

Thanks. The neighbourhood can be quite noisy at times. 😂

I really like the clock trick/technique. For some reason, I have never seen this before. Much easier than, say, trying to figure out if something is a 30 degree angle!! You are also an excellent teacher.

In the section where you used your pencil pressed to your sketch book to align with the edge of a building and you reminded the viewer not to move the pencil as they moved the book back onto their laps/desk I would add one can use a second pencil or small ruler instead of the artist’s pencil. In that way one can use their left or other hand to hold the ruler in place as one moves the book back down to complete the sketch. This is how I do it on occasion and it works for me. Once again, I enjoyed your video. Thank you.

Hi Paint to Paper!! I love Fortaleza. Beautiful city. I live in Florianópolis - Santa Catarina. Also a town on the beach, but in the south. Not so much sun.

You are amazing! I watched a video by Carl Dalio on perspective then I practiced, he was in studio, and when you actually do it real life something is missing, but you covered it, this is the part he is missing, the application. I also took a class, we never left the classroom, what!? bad teaching. Everything has perspective in art, even a pear. Love it! Thank you so much!!!

I like the idea of thinking about it like a clock. I've never done that, but will certainly try it.
@teohyc7 жыл бұрын
Still good to measure first with pencil, then use the clock face method. If not the angles will play tricks with your eyes.

Hi Teoh.. love ur videoes and techniques. Where do u pick these images? If u taking them urself.. what angles r u using to decide which pic will be good to draw 😊
@teohyc5 жыл бұрын
I take the photos myself. I try to capture overlapping elements, and also make sure the shapes are recognisable easily at a glance.
@nivi38395 жыл бұрын
Thanks Teoh. I started drawing a few pictures after watching ur videos and understanding the techniques u have taught. I must say it’s a really enjoyable experience even though the people I draw look weird.. I never get faces right 😁.. now they are just blobs but yet the overall piece is nice. Thanks Teoh.

But you have distortion. Don't you want to correct the parallax before copying from your photo?
@teohyc4 жыл бұрын
That's the problem with drawing from photos. Sometimes I correct, sometimes I don't
