Thank you Sir, I have a question I am hypermetrop astigmat and my numbers are quite big, so should I use distance pd or near pd? and my second question is that in some optic centers the machine measures 62 mm and for some of them it is 64mm so do this machine measures my near or distance pd?

Sir...may i ask ,i had a difficulty getting the pd of the of the patient specifically in getting the measurement of the px right eye because as an examiner, i myself had amblyopia and phoria on my left eye..i cant see well with my right eye closed..so, can you help me manage on how to get the pd properly ..is it ok for me to use both eyes in getting the measurement of the px's right eye..this is sometimes my struggle esp in getting the mono pd for progressive lenses' pupil height..hope you could advise me. thank you

In bifocal we can measure near IPD at working distance then what about intermediate IPD in progressive lens

When you take correct distance IPD, then manufacturer make near and intermediate heights accordingly.. and one more thing the size of the frame matters

Doesn’t matter it is bifocals or reading..process is the same..the movement of eye is same either you use reading single vision or you use bifocals

In case of intermediate pd in progressive lenses you have to deduct 2 mm binocularly from distance pd and for near pd deduct 4 MM binocularly from distance pd

If someone is using single vision intermediate powered glasses while using computer/digital devices, whar would be the pd? Should we subtract 2mm even for the single vision powered computer glasses?
