Excellent video. Progressive overload is key in flexibility too. What gets measured gets managed 😁

@@BodyweightWarrior I've been really enjoying the stretch routines and the excellence of presentation of your wisdom on this (and other body weight trading topics). On a more superficial note - would you be willing to relay the brand/cut of shorts you're wearing in this and other vids? I've noticed them the past few vids and like both their styling and (obvious) functionality. Also, size you wear - since I'm guessing we're right about the same size-ish - 6'3", 31.5" waist here. Thanks!

Nice. I just had spinal fusion surgery. Going forward I’m going to make flexibility and mobility my main goal. Mobility and lack of pain is everything. It took me 30 years of bro weight lifting to finally realize this fact. Being mobile and _free of pain_ is a skill or “condition” that is more important than having big muscles. I’m so excited going forward now that I’ve discovered this calisthenics focused community. Happy Monday!!!

@@animalstylefry I've lost 20 pounds by focusing on running, pushups, and pull-ups. Gonna run a 21:30 5k and 5:50 mile at age 49 this year. #winning. thanks for asking.

Another measurement of progression would be how long it takes to get to the position after you've obtained it. For example, I've already got my deepest sidesplit position. So, I started noticing how long it would take me to get there. Like, on the third set of the main strength building exercises for it, if I get there on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd set of the "extra" work (like pnf)

Can you please make an in-depth Video on Balance & Stability‽ With Exercises/Drills(maybe a follow along for 30-ish mins) & How we can improve or the Logic Of balance and stability in the Human Body!
@robertfox41142 жыл бұрын
Watch parkour balance drills videos. Mostly it's walking on rails and doing squats on rails. Also if you want to gain aerial awareness(if thats what you are talking about),you gotta do sports that involve flips(tricking,trampoline etc.)

It's always so hard to maintain consistency with stretching, but definitely going to download a protractor app to keep myself motivated for the changes

How many days per week should I do front split stretching ? I'll start with it, and after move to pancake and middle splits.
@mathiasgangsy64673 жыл бұрын
I would say to have one main goal and do it two times a week. See Toms video on his middle split routine. If you're doing front split I would head for an intensity similar to that routine. Also you could do some greasing the groove. Here Ido Portal got an excellent challenge on the diagonal stretch (Google it).

Hi there. Maybe start with whatever you feel comfortable with. We're 6 and we started with the splits and arm stretches to make us more flexible. Good luck, you can do it! :)

Try going to a good Structural Integration Practitioner or Deep Tissue Bodyworker, one with tons of experience once every two weeks or so.
