Hello great video thank you so much! I’m having trouble when I apply acrylic my nail tips it makes them smaller & more snug... do you have any tips? Do you suggest I go up a size? Use less acrylic? Plz help 🙏🏾😩

I wouldn’t use acrylic as it’s not flexible so doesn’t allow the nail to flex to the natural nail. I would only use gel polish on press on nails x

How come manufacturers say they measure the width of the false nail flat down and not under the curve?

You can measure the top but a lot of people will measure underneath- more accurate in my opinion. I would always double check the measurements even if the manufacturer provides them

Tinas Beauty Tales so I measured a size 2 which manufactures translate that to 13mm but if I measure the top (it’s curved) it’s 15mm. So what is the right way? Especially when doing press ons? It’s so confusing.

To me 15mm sounds right for a size 2 , I’ve never had any problems measuring the underside as that’s what has contact with the natural nail

Tinas Beauty Tales That’s truly odd. I measured one of my natural nail bed and it’s 13mm. I even cross checked with the clear tape method and it’s 13mm. I used the size 1 Apres gel x tip and that is a 13mm according to their size chart. I got the 13mm from just measuring the width as normal. No curves, no nothing.
