Hi! I need some help please! I have recently changed my brake discs, I bought bmw OE discs and brake pads, after short time (300-400 miles) the steering wheel started to shake when braking, I guess the wheel bearings might be the issue, right? I did not braked hard or drive through puddles. If I change the wheel bearings will this fix the shaking? Or are the brake discs already compromised? Thank you!!

Sir what is the run out specifications of standard wheel rotor because i have suzuki car but they don't tell me the company specifications run out
@DIYtime2 жыл бұрын
0.002 inches max.

Most vibration while braking is from uneven pad material deposits from overheating brakes.

Agreed. Most whitebox rotors like “daily driver” brands from RockAuto have commonly upwards of .005” runout. However brake pulsation/vibration/judder is from uneven brake pad deposits onto the rotor.

The question is, will this runout cause a wobble when driving at certain speeds?
@DIYtime2 жыл бұрын
With excessive runout, most of the time you will only feel vibration when braking.

Both my Lexus keep warping rotors in the span of 1-3 years. I need one of those tools maybe the hub needs to be replaced.

Maybe, you might also want to check if your brake hose has failed, your caliper pins are sticking(not using Toyota rubber grease will do that), or the caliper is frozen. And don't buy anything but OEM rotors.

2:00 you may have to add washers with some lug nuts, because it will destroy them without the wheel there . . .

Totaly agree got to take into account thickness of the wheel
@TehKaiser14 күн бұрын
@@mikedunphy1981 It showed up when he spun the rotor. That suggests that he didn't get the rotor snug enough.
