This takes years of practice, visualisation and time with yourself away from distractions. It is not a quick tip for your test for tommorow. Also Pro tip: the more comical or stupid the items look in your memory building, the easier it will be to remember them. This technique is also known as the mind palace and it is shown, pretty accurately, in a scene from Sherlock Holmes (bbc)

@liaraflyba7460
@liaraflyba7460 2 жыл бұрын
@@trudipper8055 In most of the cases I'm trying to just remember things by memorizing them. The hard part is when it comes to art. I have a very vivid imagination, but I can't "see" what I think and thus can't draw anything freehand. So I use references for everything and create the drawing by combining all these little references into one, which I can then copy in my style. To keep more complex ideas, I rely on writing my thoughts down.

This method actually works but it takes a lot of practice, it also requires a lot of patience and determination but it's worth it. I use it as my memorization technique back in high school because I saw Sherlock's "Mind Palace"' I did some research and practiced it. It was not easy of course but I got blown away fr cuz all of the information I usually forgot after an exam still sticks with me to this day. 💖

I tried Mind Palace before. Tho mine was just a small room at start. What I did was to put that memory on a certain item for example, the memory about "cytoplasm where organelles can be found" was on the desk of the room. And the "Jelly-like cytosol" are placed on the chair. I have to keep going back there sometimes, or I would forget them. I actually stopped doing that since I find it hassle, but my strenght is still on memorization. It was alsp thanks to our science teacher who forced-practice us to memorize a bunch of informations on a certain topic he gave us for 1 minute. And recite them all in one minute. Also thanks to that, it gave me a new technique to memorize faster :> I'll only read 5 items/words since das the limit I can remember quickly without effort, and read another 5, and combine them together, and repeat until I memorize the whole bunch.

I can already remember peoples faces or in some instances, I can remember someone’s face that I saw eight or nine years ago, even if they have changed. I can also recognize peoples footsteps, obviously if they’re in a group of others it’s going to be kind of difficult, But if they’re walking up the stairs, I can recognize their footsteps. I can also remember many other strange details that would make someone think I’m a stalker. Like there was this woman whenever me and my mom would go to Walmart when I was younger like at 11 or 12 years old, this woman always wore her hair in a selective certain way and she would always wear this pin on her left side of the shirt and strangely enough, I recognized her 13 years later, simply because she still wore her hair the same way even though her face and body weight has definitely changed and she still wore the pin on the left side of her shirt. My main thing is I can pick up on very very very small details that absolutely no one thinks is relevant and doing so has actually gotten me out of trouble a couple times.

It's what Sherlock Holmes called the ✨mind palace✨. It's great advice and it works particularly well. This technique helped me memorize and relearn my multiplication. Edit: To use a mind palace it is much easier to close your eyes. It is an imagination technique, so imagen each room as a certian holder of information. You are not limited to just rooms, filing cabinets or whatever floats your boat. Anything can be in or made of your mind palace. For those that cannot actually visualize in their head write it down as if your working on blue prints for a house. These are merely suggestions but keep in mind to find the best technique that fits you!

This is actually a legit method aka the Loci method. By combining the things you want to memorize with already familiar places/rooms it's more likely you won't forget them, because the newly received information will be stored with those places in your Long-term-memory. Typically you choose your own home, but really anything familiar works.

Another technique: For instance you're supposed to memorise five items Bicycle, rock, glass plates, rubber bands, flowers *Step One* - number your list 1. Bicycle 2. Rocks 3. Glass Plates 4. Rubber Bands 5. Flowers *Step 2* - Make a rhyming word with each number i.e 1= Sun 2= Shoe 3= Tree 4= Door 5= Hive Remember not to change the rhyming words, ever *Step 3* - Associate the numbered word with the rhyme, like 1. Bicycle, so associate the bicycle with *sun* (the rhyme) that there is a bicycle in the sun 2. Rocks, so associate the rocks with *shoe* (the rhyme) that there are some rocks inside the shoe 3. Glass plates, so associate that with *tree* (the rhyme) that there are glass plates shattering down on a tree 4. Rubber bands, so associate that with *door* (the rhyme) that there are rubber bands stuck on a door 5. Flowers. Associate the flowers with *hive* (the rhyme) that there are flowers all over a hive Now try it out, it works

Similar to this strategy, i would associate equations and strategies on tests with different objects that you use during the test, or what the problem looks like and how it is explained as well as its containing. So i could say that oranges mean to multiply fractions and once i spot that on a test i get the answer. Or on test with less questions, you can associate test answers coordinated with pencils, erasers, and all that goodness thats used during a test.

This is how l memorise the answers. Like l memorise the place they are written on and not the word. Like if the word "truthfulness " is written at the right corner. I just remember the place and when l remembered the whole answer and repeat it again, then l remember the right corner and then l get the last word which was "truthfulness" I know it in hard to understand, but it works for me.

You can also try this! Listen to a song and replace the lyrics to what you have to memorize. We can memorize a song much more faster than staring at something! (I used a song to memorize the digits of pie)

I would try to memorize a text, where each word contains as many letters as the corresponding number. Way easier than numbers, although coming up with a 1040 text that makes sense and follows that restriction might be quite difficult, because a text that makes no sense is just as difficult as random numbers

Add the numonic method, where each number represents a specific letter or sound: 1 = t, 2 = n example 12 is ten, ton like that since it's easier to recall/remember words or sounds.
