i find it easier using a song since im not used to letters in maths (other than bases higher than 10), but maybe i could tell other people this so its still helpful

Yes, the song is a wonderful trick too! The advantage of the mnemonic system is you can use it to memorize any string of numbers you want 🙃 happy maths!

I just memorized the song.. 3.14159 this is pi followed by 2653589 circumference over diameter 79 then 323 OMG can’t you see 8462643 and now we’re on a spree 38 and 32 now we’re blue oh who knew 7950 then 2, 88 and 41 so much fun now a run 97169399 and 3,7,51 HALF WAY DONE 058 now don’t be late 209 where’s the wine 7-4 the 94459, 230 we gotta 78 we can’t wait 1640628 were almost to the end keep going 62 we’re getting through 0899 on time 8628034 theres only a few more, then 82, then 53. 42 11 7-0 and 67

When I was learning it from Harry Lorayne's book, I was thinking F and V would be better for 5 (and they probably would be), but I didn't want to confuse myself by arguing with the book I was reading, so I stuck with his system (the same one on this video). With a little practice, it became automatic, so there was no point in revising it once I was used to it. If you want to change it around, go ahead. Your system would be just as consistent, and just as good for you, but the Major System has become pretty standardized among memory experts. You may end up arguing with every video, every book, and every resource you are trying to learn it from.
