I'm so noob that I fail to understand what's happening on every single one, could some one explain each one?

1. Doing nothing 2. issuing a movement command to get closer to the enemy before doing nothing (worse because then they fire at the same time) 3. Attack move/patrol or stop micro. 4. Just movement commands and then letting them stop naturally so they fire at different times. 5. Pause before each shot, select 6 hc to 1 shot the teutonic knights, unpause and let them shoot, then move them back. This is not humanly possible in a real situation, but it's interesting to see what "perfect" micro might look like.

I see the number 4 a lot. But I really don’t have idea how you make them flip like that. It looks like the ones on front move to the side or the back. How you do that?

I just issue movement commands and then when they come to a full stop, issue another movement command. Due to the current pathing causing regrouping, they just naturally shuffle like this.

Sometimes I am that 5690 ELO, but my second army is dying, vill production stalling, I am housed, woodlines are importing wood from Mars and my farms are T90 :)

2 groups can be good, but keep in mind that it increases the surface area of your units, so against faster units, you will take more hits this way.

microing is not natural, if you want your units to win just make more of them, microing is not fair. if everybody microed mangonels would be God and every game would be stressful

meh, just move and shoot whenever your units reloaded. It's about tempo, not fast hand or such

Your new micro technique is really inefficient vs any unit that is faster than the teutonic knight as you waste loads of time standing in one spot. Best to use stop micro but set two or three groups to fire at different times (which is already naturally set up in both the 529 ELO and 2024 ELO showcases) and once they are doing that you can just select the entire group and do a stop command every 1-2 ingame secs rather than every 3.5 ingame secs and they will shoot in a staggered fashion

Yeah, it's only good in this specific situation. Pathing is so bad at the moment that you really can only hope to attack move/patrol/self-guard/stop micro. If you do a stop command on parts of your army on current patch, they can't walk in a straight line and end up pathing into the enemies/into other HC and freezing. Try it yourself and you will feel the frustration. I'll do an updated video when they fix pathing 11

I feel like micro methods have very different results if the unit being chased is faster, vs slower

That 5000 elo micro doesnt look 5000 elo. They arent moving efficiently enough compared to micro im use to.

Unfortunately pathing has gotten worse over the years so units don't move in a straight line anymore

There's always a learning curve with these things. Usually you have to experiment to find out what's good and many ways of microing are just worse than no micro at all.

I'd love to see how you combat hand canon/bombers with micro. Some people get crushed by that combo (mostly me)

Arbalester can work pretty well against this. If you watch enough arena, this matchup comes up a lot.

Could it be better to stutter step in a line formation instead of the standard one to spread them out more and prevent overkill?

Line formation is the standard one. I tried many things and unfortunately when you try to move be backwards, your units move in a crescent shape instead of a line. Hopefully when they fix pathing this will make kiting straight back the best way to do it. Kiting back with stop, attack move, or patrol is still the way to do it against most units.

How does 2024 elo army regroup like that so always different hand cannoneers get hit?

I'm just issuing a right click move command and since pathing is a bit questionable in this game, the units all shuffle a bit causing different ones to get hit. With this method they all stop at different times as well so it reduces overkill. Once pathing is in a better spot, sending the whole army backwards and then issuing 3-4 stop commands on 3-4 different chunks of hand cannons should spread the shots better, but on current patch your units regroup for too long and take hits.
