38 years old. Decided to change my career. Started welding school a few days ago. Mix of beginners and more advanced students. Add to that the loud ass vents and demonic AC (Texas) it’s hard to hear. Instructor goes from beginning to advanced info without warning leaving me a bit lost at times. In the classroom it’s one instructor and 15 students. At least here i can watch some videos after I get home to fill in the gaps from school and it’s just me so it feels a little more one on one. Thankfully I’m not paying 150$ to RENT a video 😑 (school books ain’t cheap). Thanks for making videos.

Feeling quite lucky to be in New Zealand. My mechanical engineering course was 100% free due to a push in trades after COVID-19 and my tutors are very caring and helpful. Mix of beginners and advanced as well with a great age range (youngest in class being 17, oldest being about 55) and on top of all that they help us to get an apprenticeship in an area of engineering of our choice at the end of the course and there is no short supply of those in NZ, especially for us females lol.

Very good. I just upgraded from an arc to a mig. Didn't do any practice or trial with settings, just jumpped straight in. Made a hell of a mess but now know what I did wrong. Hot enough but way too slow on the wire speed. Will actually have a practice on some scrap now and get a nice bead going.
