I read 2 of Tony’s books over 20 years ago and started to mind map my life to success.. to this day, I mind map everything from shopping lists to travel plans.. I’ve used these techniques for study and many other things.. I highly recommend Tony’s books and most importantly - TAKE ACTION -

The three main ideas I learned from the video are 1) use a central idea with curved branches for each concept, 2) use color for order and memory, 3) use. images for interest and memory.

I watched a few longer videos about mind mapping and was still unsure how to start, so I went back to the source and he explained it clearly in 5 minutes!

it is so innovative and it sounds like you use many layers to distribute for your project and sense. each subject has a branch and a concept.

I have never been able to use mindmaps. I understand the concepts, but using images and color with curvilinear branches with single word descriptions was never explained to me. I’ll have to try with this additional information. I can see that this would be far superior to the text boxes and straight lines that seemed to complicate my thoughts when I’ve tried mindmaps in the past.... well, what I’d been told was mind mapping.

Love this topic. Always fascinating. I , and certainly many others, have always been doing mindmapping without realising it, and maybe even given our names to it. Makes me wonder how could he have invented mindmapping if it already existed? He certainly has discovered this wonderful thought pattern and coined the term mindmapping. brilliant!

The mind thinks in connections and associations between things in order to assemble as much data as possible about anything so as to help it come to the 'best' conclusion or understanding of the thing. I would say a 'mind map' illustrates that process on a piece of paper etc. Which itself helps to organize things.

I always had a problem with writing notes in a square format, rather I'd always made notes in funny little structure, that ultimatelly ended up looking like your mindmaps. Words, little lines here and there, and when I had access to coloured pens, I used then to help to link the words together. If I tried to create a square format from my 'mindmap' it just didn't make any sense.... Thank you for explaining how your 'mindmapping' works....
