Mining is best left to youtube personalities who get the asics (free) to review and hype up well before they tank hashrate or delay shipping asic until the price is tank or profitability low... Just purchase the coin outright...no messing around with lectric and fire risk or excessive heat and noise...for a 1% chance you'll ROI even close to what you would've just purchasing the crypto. You could take chance and order "in stock" miner from a place like delaymining and get it 2 months layer when the profitability tanks and difficulty skyrockets. Open to being shown otherwise...but I can't think of a asic/gpu that's been released thats able to roi in a reasonable time span.

Step 1 E9 Pro sucks lol fails compared to the X16 and can't mine half the ethash coins yes the price is lower so unless you only plan to mine ETC stay away from it. My 2 cents lol

The potential problems i see: About every year the bitcoin network doubles its hash power - this means that the mining reward is halved about every year. If the bitcoin price does not double in the same period, the ROI becomes far away. And what I fear - the current ASIC generation, i.e. the Bitmain S19, has been around since 2020, which makes it very likely that Bitmain will release a new ASIC generation soon.
