My dears, in my videos I try to convey the topics as detailed and yet compressed as possible. But please accept that I cannot give individual medical advice on the Internet (see also channel info). On the one hand that is not legally acceptable, but would not be possible and serious on the other hand, because I have not seen your skin and can not know your individual medical/cosmetic findings. Hi I have been looking for information about how to treat sensitive skin, I personally have allergies towards perfume and different pollens, and find skincare very difficult, since most products harms more than helps. Since I’m surly not the only one with these issues, I was wondering if you would make a video on the subject? If you have any expert advice to give, that is. Thank you😇

i think you have Seborrhoea sicca meaning dry skin that is still fatty. I have the same and Dr. Julie made a video about it, however i only saw it in german. summary is: do not use any rich creams but gel based creams/lotions that spend lots of moisture for your skin (those you can also apply on the nose). The creams/lotions can also content stuff to reduce pimples and they should contain something to reduce fat production in the cells. this will also dry your skin out and if the creams/lotions themselves are not purely meant for moisturization you probalby need a something that gives the skin extra moisture, e.g. like a hyaloronan serum. I use the one from KU2 cosmetics and am pretty happy with it so far. also take care that the products are not comedogenic and that they have ph 4-5,5. also peel you skin like twice a week (do not use harsh particles like salt/sugar btw, she made vids about that too). good luck ps: if you have mixed skin so only the t-zone is fatty only do all this stuff there. on the other parts of the face you can still use a rich creame, especially in winter

Your overall skin could be looking good and healthy, but for example your nose or chin are way different and therefore they produce so much sebum (oil) that the pores on your nose or chin will allways face this matter of being clogged.. oil needs to be cleaned and dried out. Facial masks which contain clay like french clay which contain bentonite, are actually really able to "suck" the oil straight out of your pores. Other skin care products won't, because they mostly contain ingredients to 'feed' your skin or to cleanse, instead of sucking the oil. You see that's why you should never apply creams or serums onto your nose or chin because they contain oils anyhow.. !
@DollfaceKim3 жыл бұрын
@@mosquito3651 OMG!! You are so awesome for that info!!! I search online articles to figure out what the heck is going on and you just summed it up right there and so well!! Thank you ever so much!!! I want to ask you more questions now, lol!! So when you say products and serums would that mean not to put retinoids on the nose and chin area? I have noticed that retinol 2% applied at night and covered with hyaluronic acid serum on my nose and chin does nothing for me at all. Oddly, hydroquinone cream, Porcelana, found a my local pharmacy for like $6 works really, really well to use as a mask when I go to bed at night (like once a week) I have no blackheads after that but I can't find anything online in regards to how that even works so I may be using something that you said dries out the pores instead but ok now I need to go look at the French clay masks!!!

Truly the only way help your skin is to see a dermatologist. I tried so many years of using products that worked for my friends. Some things I used were so wrong for my acne I caused damage to myself. Not until my 40s did I make the decision to see a Dermatologist. I was told about MY skin and what was going on. He was very straight forward and let me know I was making my condition worse by following magazine articles and friends advice. It’s a learning experience and I’ve learned a lot. Trying to help others in the quest for better skin. I can walk out in the day and not feel self conscious. Dermatologists are not fancy. Don’t feel awkward

Get a dermabrasion or microdermabrasion . it is a process of mechanical exfoliation which removes the top epidermic layer which is damaged and exposes the healthy fleshy skin. Sort of like a baby's butt. Don't go out to the sun after MD. Cover your face with gauge and stay inside for 1 week. Don't apply soap or cleansing facewash. Do sweat exercise and always use tissue paper after washing face.

I used to have the same problem, specially on my nose and between my brows. As someone who is studying medicine and has a lot of interest for dermatology I have talked to some of my professors and they all agree the best rutine you can possibly do for an oily skin is this: 1. Only use oil-free, non comedogenic and silicone free products 2. Wash your face twice a day: In the morning and before going to bed 3. Look for cleansers that contain salicylic acid: this is a component that "attacks" comedones which are blackheads and common acne. When using the cleanser, leave it on for a minute, then rinse it off with slightly cold water (to close your pores) 4. Always moisturize your face after washing it, again with an oil free, non comedogenic, silicone free moisturizer! 5. Always put on suncream after your moisturizer (let at least 10min in within so the moisturizer can absorb into your skin) 6. Once a week exfoliate using a gentle non comedogenic, oil free and with salicylic acid product NEVER USE YOUR FINGERS TO "POP" YOUR PORES GUNK OUT! it will leave scars, and the pore will only become bigger and bigger. In a month you will see a big difference in your pores, and your skin will appreciate it! I have used this for a year now and my skin has improved so much I look like a complete different person, from time to time I get some pimple due to my period, but that's it, not a big deal for me at least. My pores have reduced to the point you need a magnifying glass to see them. This is what every dermatologist will tell you out there... But if you can afford it, is always better to consult one.. . .
@doktorjulie6 жыл бұрын
Hi Lumatic, that is not far from what I said :-) So nice to hear, that dermatologists in your country (where are you from?) agee upon that, too. But skip moisturizing the nose if it´s oily or shows comedones, as even moisturizing will worsen the condition (on the nose). And only use oil-free sunscreens as most of them contain too many lipids!

Please understand that I can not provide such individual consultations here, because I have not seen your skin and can not know your individual medical/cosmetic findings. Stick with my advices and stay the course! Continuity is very important! And in addition you may take advantage of professional facials to remove the debris in the enlarged pores and consult a dermatologist 👍

I have HUGE nose pores, I eat glutenfree, lactosefree, sugarfree( no fruits , no sugar, some berries maybe), I dont eat meat, raw salmon sometimes, I dont eat oily processed foods, I dont drink alcohol, maybe 3 times a year and glutenfree/sugarfree, I dont drink coffee. I am alive, but I have huge pores, and closed comedones(if I eat wrong foods and dont use BP and glycolic acid toner). I wash my face with salicylic acid charcoal gel, my moisturizer is oil free, fragnance free for sensitive skin. I better have big pores than 100 pimples!

Your diet sounds very restrictive! Not saying that you have an eating disorder, but people who have eating disorders and eat highly restrictive diets often suffer from acne so maybe it could be similar to your case? Maybe try eating a more varied diet?

Can blackheads be removed naturally?
@LilBoPeep7774 жыл бұрын
They can be extracted but you will have open large pores where they were. You have to keep them clear with non-comedogenic products such as Vanicream wash , use a gentle toner , then Vitamin C and moisturizer such as CeraVe or by Vanicream. It takes a long time to get them fully healed.

Is cetaphil gentle skin cleanser good for acne prone or oily skin? Hoping you could answer. I also wish to be a dermatologist someday. Thank you.
@doktorjulie6 жыл бұрын
Lady Ada Maminta, I do not rate other products negatively, because I want to bring positive input in the first place. Each product would have to be evaluated individually based on the ingredients. In my videos I recommend products that I evaluate as good and useful and give hints on which ingredients are recommendable, so that you as a viewer can judge for yourself which products are suitable. But limited time and possibilities of commentary functions here do not allow to judge individual product inquiries seriously and this would not be professional either. There will be more videos on ingredients :-) I wish you that you achieve your goal of becoming a dermatologist ♥
