I know plenty of women who are happy right now bc they chose abortion. However, abortion is not for everyone. As pro choice, I fight for a womans right to choose/not choose to continue her pregnancy. With that being said, you are embarking on an incredible journey that will have challenges, but you will overcome them. While the circumstances aren't ideal right now; with hope and perseverance you will create the future you want for you and your child. Don't give up & have faith you are strong enough. I’d also mention to them that whole “do not murder thing,” kind of a biggy. Genesis 9:6 is always a solid passage. Babies are made in the image of God, so if you murder your offspring - Genesis 9:6 applies. I’m all for being gentle in counseling, but if you never mention what God’s Law requires of them, then you are not being loving to her or her baby.

Doesn't it have to be illegal to count as murder though? Last I checked, for the taking of a life to be murder, it needs to be unlawful. Abortion is lawful and allowed under our current laws, and the Bible does allow killing other under certain circumstances, so I don't think it could biblically be considered murder.

So abortion is murder, whether it is legal according to human legislation or not. The Bible says woe to those who call good evil and evil good. In certain places and times in history, murder was justified, legal, and seen as right in man’s eyes. But God and his word is authority above wicked man’s words, ways and laws. It was law for the Hebrews to worship other gods when they were captive in places like Assyria or Babylon. But though legal according to man, it was still immoral according to God. Also laws of the land changes, but God and his word is unchanging.

Abortion isn't murder when God gives you the choice, as in Deuteronomy 30... It's more about understanding the boundaries and what must be considered during a pregnancy than the simple shallow thought that abortion is only taking a human life... Otherwise, miscarriage would not be a thing in the body that God designed. Obviously, He has parameters for this condition, and so if we consider the fact we have to do things for the right reasons, and He wants you to wait, then abortion is obviously a natural thing without negative consequence. Given most miscarriages happen in the first 3 or 4 months, it is safe to say choosing abortion during that time frame for the right reasons would be in His scope of innate design... The conditions must be prudent for raising a child the way God wants the child raised... Yet, I hear no Christians talking about how raising a child to feel unloved, hated by mother or father, or during war/famine hinders His desired developments... God is about quality of 'life', because a life where mother feels trapped with a child, hates her child, or lives in strife, is no life at all, especially one God desires...

Do you really think "safe", legal abortions are actually safe?? They aren't, many women have died because of so called safe ones. also regarding your first statement, children and people are valuable regardless of defects, disabilities, or certain physical traits. you're not pro choice because you're pro abortion, and therefore pro death and anti woman. @@jacobburgin7472 it does when the fetus that is at 3 weeks gestation or even 8 weeks gestation isn't fully developed to be considered a full term baby(36+weeks). No one said anything about "value". The point is that a woman has bodily autonomy and should decide for herself if she wants to continue the pregnancy. A fetus at 8 weeks gestation wouldn't survive on its own. Why you may ask? Bc it requires the mothers energy and nutrients to do so. Pro Choice means protecting the womans right to have/not have an abortion. That's it. We need more education for youth about this overall in our schools. What's sad is that I don't see that idea being adopted by people who are conservative/far right. Ideally I don't want a woman to have an abortion bc it can be traumatic (stigma, self blame etc), so instead of trying to restrict it why don't we take a preventative approach and give more education and access to healthcare to everyone? That what pro choicers are fighting for.

And your rights don’t include taking another life to make your life better. It doesn’t. And I’m all for less abortions, I do think it causes a lot of problems for women who have had abortions as well, I’m all for supporting women’s help centers and pregnancy centers (which nationwide in 2019 served nearly 2 million people with $266,000,000 worth of free services), I’m all for helping women with unwanted pregnancies with monetary support, adoption, and foster care work, I’m all for helping the mother but I am absolutely never ok with killing an unborn baby.

@@jacobburgin7472 a baby at 8 weeks gestation is not the same as a term baby(36+weeks). A term baby can breathe on its own, can move its own extremities, has fully developed reflexes that ensure its survival, can nurse etc. A baby at 8 wks gestation can't do any of those things.

God actually commits or orders infanticide and says He'll form fetuses in the Israelites wombs just so they can miscarry. It is disgusting that forces birthers a) pretend they give a fuck about children when they say this God is good and b) demand everyone subscribe to what they say God wants...even when this God of theirs kills fetuses. Not for me. I will never subscribe to a religion that supports the killing of actual infants but sees abortion as wrong.
