Good video!... So many ways to mix Techno, its definitely one of the most versatile genres to mix, and for me, the most fun! For me, its all about watching and picking up bits and pieces from each DJ, then creating your own unique style. But, as with most skills, your always learning from new sources, so your style is always evolving and interesting. Which is why after more than 25 years of Djing, I'm still watching videos like this! Kudos and gracias!

Thanks for the influx of videos during the quarantine! Always the most helpful! Dunno if you get into it at all, but a video of tricks on mixing non digital drumming like in old disco and funk would be really helpful... thanks as always, any DJ skill I have is learned from your videos.

Great tutorial. Can't wait to see what you can do with a third and fourth deck. Please also ignore the genre elitists, easily the most annoying part about DJing. Keep on rockin.

Hey my friend :). Love your videos. Could you do one on mixing Tech-House? Thanks for the great content anyway.
@lachlancalder96103 жыл бұрын
This is tech-house. He calls it techno but it honestly is just tech-house

Very cool! I am wondering though why did you gradually come in with the low frequency knob -- since you already cur off the lows with the high pass filter?
@nikakebuladze4 жыл бұрын
for more control i guess, filter doesn't kill whole sound, so you need to cut EQ-s aswell and gradually increase it while mixing
@SoundofArman4 жыл бұрын
@@nikakebuladze Exactly, it was for more control and to ensure entire bass freq is killed

Hi Arman. do you observe the 8-16 bars transition? thank u so much
@SoundofArman4 жыл бұрын
Sometimes yes, but not always. Depending on the songs I find its not always needed.

DVS1 is probably the best I've ever seen live. I have seen a video on here of him demonstrating his technique, he mainly uses layered loops I think rather than full tracks.
@SjefkeHighland4 жыл бұрын
Hi Arman, what mode do you use on the mixer, isolator or eq?
@SoundofArman4 жыл бұрын
I always use EQ
@Quim1413 жыл бұрын
The mix is propeer. This is not THE ONLY way of mixing guys, coz it depends on the track selection and the taste of each DJ. You can see it on masters. Is different how mix Mills than Mulero than Ben Sims than DVS1 than Horacio Cruz than Varela etc. etc.
@daviddijkstravevo1052 жыл бұрын
So you're fine with just using 2 channels when mixing techno?
@dieserrobert79742 жыл бұрын
Why is your crossfader on the left side? This doesnt make sence because you can still hear the right deck. Is there a way to durn the crossfader function off or am I just dump?
@ysspike6192 жыл бұрын
yeah, you definitely can turn off the crossfader by putting your volume faders on the thru setting. The switch to put it on thru, A/B side is located just below every volume fader.

what style of techno is this? It's good shit
@Quim1413 жыл бұрын
It's kinda Tech-House, or kinda "minimal" bassed on what Richie used to play. Not pure Techno arround 138 BPM and Techno have many many styles... Detroit, Berlin, the school of Birmingham, Minesotta, Japan, Spain,etc. and it evolves all the time.
@cmjones833 жыл бұрын
I'd say it's mostly tech house or deep techno. The last tune is verging on dub techno as well.

What ppl outside of Berlin call techno;€€
@rokaskucinskas48403 жыл бұрын
nice. still, 2 of songs more minimal techno than techno, 3rd song more dub techno (almost deep house) than actual techno. The techniques are the same but then I see word techno I expect REAL techno. Will see.
