Hey bro, just wanted to ask a question. I have this client at the moment all he has in 2 tracks beats for the songs. I did what you suggested, in lowering the clip gain on the 2 track, then mixing the vocals into the beat that way. Sounds good. The problem I'm having though is that when you add a limiter back on the master to boost what you lost, the song loses dynamics & the vocals get a bit distorted. Is that because the 2 track is already mixed & mastered & adding another limiter just messes it up? What's the way around it? Do you just leave the mixed & mastered 2 track at the volume it is & just pull the fader down then mix into that? I just wanted to ask the question? Second Chance

Ehhh yeah, unfortunately, that's what it probably is. The beat is being mastered twice, but there are still ways around it. Send a link to the track to me on our IG chat though bro & I'll give it a listen & hear if there is any suggestions I can give you.

Hello, I enjoyed the video. Thank you for your good tips. I received a lot of help. May I ask you a question? I saw an engineer directly hanging a limiter on a two-track beat in another video. May I know why?

I think it's more everyone has their own process & does what works with them. So you would have to ask them directly.

I use track spacer for vocals it’s like a ducking EQ and I don’t regret it 💪🏾🔥

Can I Apply This process if my 2 track is just A Piano Chords???Its just Piano Playing
@realisticproductionsLLC8 ай бұрын
I would mix that just like mixing an individual piano. You basically do have the stems. It’s just one stem though lol. But the side-chaining parts would probably be a good fit. Pianos eat up a lot of frequencies.

This!!! Can you do a tutorial on multiband compression specifically? Miles has been on my butt about it but I lowkey don’t understand what all the settings mean! Definitely picked up some gems from this vid tho 🙌
