I love using milk paint. Ever use linseed oil over the paint? I applied some federal blue to a box for my daughter and was appalled at how chalky it looked even after three coats. The package said linseed oil could be used and what a difference! It deepened the colour and gave it a very slight sheen, plus a little protection form minor dings and scratches. Good video, btw. Keep 'em coming.

Simon Gilchrist Hi Simon, yes, I've used boiled linseed oil (BLO) over milk paint, with shellac or varnish over the top. But the drying time is significant for BLO. I've got genealogy from Scotland with the name Gilchrist. Are you from the UK?

Wood and Shop Such a great look with the BLO. I was born in Canada, but yes, my dad's side of the family is Scottish. Glasgow, I think. A great co-incidence if we are related!

Great stuff! Basically you bought ready made paint to be mixed with water and now you made tutorial how to mix it?! In your opinion is it better to mix clockwise or anticlockwise?
